Justice system failed today!!!
A San Antonio, Texas jury says that you can drink too much, drive a car on the WRONG side of the highway, kill someone in the car you hit, and only get a 2 year sentence! I am disgusted in what we call justice these days.

It's disgusting! But people that would give a harsher sentence would never be asked to sit on a jury. What rumors are going around about Jenny Ybarra in Seguin? Most of the ugly stuff came out in the trial. Cheating ex husband, prior cocaine use, strip club waitress in San Antonio...
Here in my hometown a lady was arrested in October for causing an accident that killed a 24 yr old mother and she admitted to being drunk.. she has 33 driving violations and 18 other charges and she violated her probation by drinking.. and yet she is getting a plea deal!!!!!! And to top it off they extended her court date bc she needed to *think* about the plea deal!!!!!!!!!
Its disgusting what people get away with!!!!! But how on earth can someone have 33 traffic violations and those include dui's and still have their license!?
And btw the drunk driver that killed my dad only got 1 yr with parole after 6 months and 5 yrs probation.. and he had 3 prior dui's as well!!! :(
im not quite sure. it was a looong time ago. she told me about it in 2004. and it had been a while before that. i believe it was there in the temple/ belton area where 190 starts or on the i35 side.
I read this post early this morning. Didn't really think much of it til my bf and I came to a bbq place to come and eat and saw the front paper. She's from my hometown of Seguin. Yes, its sad that she got away with a minimal sentence. Since this is a small town, all kinds of rumors you hear.

Unfortunately the sentence was decided by a jury. 10 women 2 men. Most of the women were young moms like the defendant, Jenny Ybarra. They probably felt sorry for her and didn't want to take her away from her 2 small kids. The accident was 4 years ago when her baby was 2 months old. Ybarra has had time to remarry and have another baby. Erica will never have the chance. The defense lawyer purposefully picked this jury because they said they would be willing to consider a lighter sentence. Btw, Ybarra was in a previous car accident in 2000 where she was caught with cocaine on her nose!
wow...perry took too long to get of the campaign trail it looks like. that is rediculous. i had a teacher in highschool that her son was killed by a drunk driver the same exact way. bless her heart the anniversary was during the school year so she would come to school a mess. BUT she had the relief in knowing the jerk off would be behing bars for 20+ yrs. but that was in central texas around fort hood. maybe that san antonio judge needs a good ol texas @ss whoopin!!
America is definately too easy going when it comes to drinking and driving. Stories like these prove it. And the awful thing is that in two years she may very likely do the same thing. It's not just law, a lot of it is cultural. Raise you los to know it is never ok to drink and drive.
My boyfriends best friend was killed by a drunk driver. He was on his motorcycle and she veered into his lane and hit him. She was almost 3 times over the legal limit, and she got 18 months in jail. Unbelievable.

Apparently we've gone soft! I'm so outraged and disgusted by this. Erica Smith was a beautiful person in every way. Now she's gone and the woman that killed her gets to walk free in a few months.
that happened to my cousin. someone was driving drunk, hit her car, killed her little girl and only got probation. maybe a year, I'm not sure. it was in texas too.

Honest question Have you ever accidentally locked your child in a car? I mean like honestly didn't realize you locked them in.
Is this a girls car? Like if you passed it on the road would you think a girl drives it?

Ladies that have 3 kids and kinda close to my kids age what car seat do you have? Also how do you have then in your car as well. I have a suv and can move one child to thrid row but dont want to just yet.

A friend just posted a side by side photos of two guys going to jail . Guy on left downloaded music and movies illegally and got sentenced for 50 years. Guy on right murdered 2 kids and mutilated their bodies then burned them to rid of the evidence. He got 20 years maximum sentence. Is that wrong or what?
