Some states it's illegal. Wish it were illegal in ALL states. I hate seeing someone smoking with the windows up or barely cracked open and a child in the car with them.

It's not illegal in PA yet. I wouldn't mind if it became illegal here in Pennsylvania. I'm a smoker but I've never smoked in the car with my daughter or in the house.

^never done this but I regret it. One time I saw an old blazer with all the windows down, the trunk wide open driving 50 mph with I shit you not 2 adults and 3 toddlers in the back seat, no car seat, no seatbelt, nothing, with the woman driver smoking cigarettes the whole way. I only didn’t call because I was driving, couldn’t get the plates, and my kids stupid ass father talked me out of it saying it’s none of my business. But let me see that shit today and I’ll call CPS so fast on a trashy moms ass 😂

@divinely_favored, if they’re driving with the trunk open and children in no car seats, that’s not a false report. it wouldn’t even be a police report. you’re literally just telling them what’s going on & they’d go & check it out.

it’s a secondary offense here. So you can’t get pulled over for it. But if you get pulled over for like. Speeding for example (or get into an accident) you can get a ticket for it

@dominique.xo I'm not saying it's right but you should call cps and tell on them and see their response. I know from experience they aren't going to open a case on someone for smoking cigarettes. If it's illegal in the state and proven to being done in the car, maybe. But someone who smokes in the car probably does in the house too and there are no laws for that.

@kartersmommyy, I would have been pissed.! If her uncles smoke in the car I just ask if they can roll the windows down to air it out a bit (it’s their car so I can’t really ask them to not smoke in it) and they do and they don’t ever smoke in it if we are all going somewhere

@sleepymommy, at least they’re considerate about it. i grew up w/ both of my parents smoking cigs & they always smoked around me & in the car which prob fueled my hate for the smell of smoke lol so i don’t even smoke at all & don’t want my babies around it

oh me too everyone around me smoked cigs and now I HATE everything about them. I’m glad they are considerate too they also quit smoking inside when we moved back in we all smoke outside so now there’s 0 smoke inside.
