bottle warmer

Hey moms. It's necessary at daycare to have a bottle warmer. I put one on my registry, but if I'm gonna be a stay at home mom, is it necessary?

I think it depends. I was always told not to get one bc it will spoil baby but I breastfeed and so whenever hubby gave a bottle baby was already finicky about drinking warm milk. Got one for our second child and hubby was so mad wondering why we didn't get it with the first! Lol! It was the biggest lifesaver! I never had to worry about warming up bottles bc I nursed but it was so much easier and faster to get it nice and warm so they'd drink it.

Thanks ladies! I took it off because if I did need to have a hot bottle, I have a thi Ng that boils water in a minute. At our daycare we aren't allowed crockpots...NC's latest as of 2 years ago. I don't care much for them but for a brief moment thought it'd be a necessity. I'd rather spend the money on something more practical. Thanks ladies!

My baby drank milk straight from the fridge. No bottle warmer and I never boiled water.

The daycare I work at, we don't use bottel warms. I think it's center preference. We use bottled, room temp water.

We did buy a bottel warm with our first son, we used it for like a week, and then did the hot water in a cup, placed bottel in their method lol.

I'm a teacher in an infant room of a preschool. We use small crock pots. I suggest that. There inexpensive and can be used for other things.

I had one I got from my shower and we maybe used it twice. All itdid was warp our bottles. Mug of water in the microwave then set the bottle in that works so much easier.

I think it depends. If you had a c-section and can't get up as much yeah. I bought the one for the car bc we have a cooler made in our truck so thought it would be good. I also put one in my registry u can always take it back. I hate waiting for hot water to heat things especially if it's cold.

I had one and i used it but won't be using it with baby #2. There are just easier ways

We used formula and used the microwave to barely heat the water. We ended up buying a on the go warmer for the car when we made a trip to MO (from NC.)

But for everyday trips, we just bought a thermos/travel coffee mug and heated the water before leaving the house.

Waist of money.....

A bottle warmer is convenient for people like myself that prepare the formula in a formula mixer amd store in the fridge. Cold milk like that can upset the baby's tummy so a warmer helps a lot. If we are out and about I usually just use room temp water. No issues from the baby. My daughter actually liked cold bottles once she got a bit older. Which was awesome for me :)

We used ours a ton. Also, it helped with my pump milk from the freezer that didn't completely thaw in the fridge by the time I needed it. (Sometimes your baby just needs to eat) I didn't find it wasteful at all!

I would get one of the big 5 gallon waters that have the easy pour spout and just leave it out so the water is room temp. If you use a bottle warmer what are you going to do if you are out all day? Better to get them used to room temp other wise it could be a problem.

Loved my bottle warmer. I hated boiling water or heating up a mug of water. When those 330 am feeding calls start coming in, bottle warmer will save you lots of time. I'm a SAHM and it made a world of a difference for me and my husband.

I have never ever had one. I breastfed my baby and even bottle fed him Breast milk. But my babe was so picky about bottles and he hates doing it I didn't pump too often. And when I did I just warmed up my milk in the bottle w warm water. Cheaper and less clutter for me ?

I must be weird as we used ours all the time. Add a teaspoon of water and the bottle then go get baby ready to eat. 1 min later bottle is ready and the right temp. I loved it especially in the middle of the night

I never used a warmer. The only time I would heat up the milk is when my breast milk was in the fridge. I'd just get water hot and heat it up that way...easy peasy!

No I still have mine in a box it was never used I'm actually gonna wrap it and give it away for an upcoming baby shower (putting it into someone else's hands and out of mine)

i had one but never used it with my last she just drank room temp.

I never got one with my first. I used room temperature water and she liked it just fine. I breastfed my second so I didn't need bottles.

I'm planning on using a bottle warmer to sanitize nipples and pacifiers.

I had a bottle warmer as a stay at home mom. It was a life saver for me. I used it all the time!

I,never warmed up my baby's bottle. Nothing against it... I just forgot! Lol & by the time I remembered, she was already use to room temp bottles & it didn't seem to bother her.

My mom is a daycare provider and she just dethaws the milk in a bowl or a cup. Hubby used our a a handful of times. But it's not necessary. Especially if you're staying at home. We would have been find without one and probably won't even use it this time around.

I don't use them. If you don't give them warm bottles in the first place they don't care... Same with wipe warmers. In the event I get one out of the fridge I used my kurieg for fast hot water and just let it bob in the cup a minute or two

That's what I was thinking too. I took it off because I don't it'll get used ever.

I just heat up water in a mug or keep my crock pot handy. I think they are a waste if you're staying home.

I'm a ftm but I've heard nothing but people regretting getting one, never used it or waste of money. But I wouldn't know personally haha

Is having a bottle warmer a must have for the Newborn whether breastfeeding or formula . Is this one a good brand? Heard bottles shouldn't be warmed in the microwave. First time mom here.
