Is having a bottle warmer a must have for the Newborn whether breastfeeding or formula . Is this one a good brand? Heard bottles shouldn't be warmed in the microwave. First time mom here.

If you breastfeed and someone else feeds baby while at work, I say it’s a must. It’s so much more convenient than for them to run it under warm water. And breastfed babies are a bit spoiled- the milk they are used to is always body temperature. Where as with formula, how you introduce it is how you should generally serve it- so I’ve heard some moms use the room temperature baby water to mix their bottles and never heat, so baby is used to that. It all depends.

We only used it for breastmilk. Not for formula though. Luckily our son wasn't picky and took room temp formula.

I tried a bottle warmer and it never worked for me.... The milk would be cold and the top where is have to grab it would be too hot to touch. I used a glass measuring cup, put a little water and heated that up and place milk bottle in water @prettyflower1033 I hope you find a brand that works for you!

@prettyflower1033, yeah, and if you're off by even a drop it won't work right. Exhausted middle of the night purchase, haha 🤦‍♀️

@nomli I saw lots of reviews online about having to fill it up with water the correct amount if not it won't work.. Time consuming I will continue my search lol

@prettyflower1033, no I nurse my little ones so I didn’t use a bottle warmer

@prettyflower1033, like @nomli, said, putting it in warm water works and it’s actually recommended to do it that way to avoid hot spots.

You’ll learn what works best for you as you go along though.

I had this one and hated it. It never warmed correctly or evenly, it would either come out too cold or too hot, even with the same amount.

It is not a must have, you can heat water in the microwave and then sit the bottle in it to warm, but it is definitely a time saver and just makes bottle feeding easier. When it works, haha.

My son didn’t care if his milk was cold so I wouldn’t say it’s a must have unless you have a baby that prefers warmed milk

It’s a must have for formula fed babies 👶🏻 very helpful.

I'm reading reviews on bottles && getting a little worried. . I didn't know baby's have to "latch" on to a bottle.. I thought a bottle was a bottle.. I got the avent bottles that I really wanted && someone also gave me the mam bottled. I want to buy more avent because I only have 10 bottles total. but I don't want to buy it && the baby rejects it. what do you guys think?
