Insurance, what the fack
Insurance, what the fack
Babes has medical, I have her MA card that's the only card I recieved in the mail. I go to pick up her perception and add her card, gets declined because evidently she's on bcbs now but never got the card. Now I'm being billed for her doctor's visits and hospital bill from birth. What the actual fack. I refuse to pay these bills when she was on insurance right after. And aren't they supposed to be covered under you or???

They even let me get her prescription and will figure out that bill later since the system wasn't matching up.

Yay so glad it worked out hospital bills are so scary!!!

UPDATE: Looked online just now and I have no outstanding balance. I guess calling bcbs kicked it in since I had to order a new card. Bills are settled now :)

I was able to get her bcbs information. I have an appointment at 1 (in 1.5hrs) and will be talking face to face with the billing place and have them rebill. I'll update after the appointment.

Update?

I did call to have her added. They told me to call county to have her added to the case and that was the way to add her. I did that and recieved her MA card. We're all in the same group but seperate somehow. They open in 15 so I'll be calling.

My insurance automatically covered my son for the first 30 days. However, I was told that if i did not complete the paperwork and add him to my insurance within those 30 days then I would become responsible for his hospital bills.

Did u ever call BCBS n update it to add ur baby? Thats what u r supposed to do if u want the labor n deliver plus aftercare for ur baby to b covered.

nothing was covered for my son until his insurance was in effect

Usually your insurance is the default for baby for the first 30 days. You either enroll them on your policy or apply for whatever plan they will be on indefinitely.

I have bcbs, with my first I didn't have any issues with insurance or bills. I'm going to call in the morning to see what's going on with it

My son’s doctor & hospital bills were separate from mine. Insurance wouldn’t pay them until i provided the birth certificate & SSN. If she had coverage then insurance should pick them up. Just provide the hospital & doctor proof of insurance and ask them to bill again. Who holds the bcbs policy. You or your SO?
