Why do I pay for insurance if you still going to bill me?!?! I thought my labs would be covered 100% and I owe over $2k in just lab work. This is BS!! Can't imagine what the hospital bill will be when I actually have my child 😭😭😭😭
No you can change during the year for a life changing event (like marriage, birth, etc.) they wouldn't want your child to be without health insurance for a length of time.
@ains4073, i wondered about adding the baby. thought i would have to wait til open enrollment.
I'm not quite sure what all the options are among crafts. Who knows some of our clerks have been around forever they could be grandfathered in, but at my office BCBS is our best plan. Definitely look at it during enrollment this winter or I think if you're planning on adding the baby on you can also change it at the time of birth.
@ains4073, um i wonder...ill look into when enrollment comes up again. not sure what the options are but ill look, thanks 😊
I'm a carrier, but I know some of our clerks have it too. Most of us in my office have it because yes you pay a little more than the cheaper ones, but when you actually need it you pay nothing (or close to it)
@ains4073, i never saw BC&BS; offered through us. is it through the union? im a clerk so its through the APWU
Just so you know, fed blue cross blue shield through USPS is the way to go, if you decide to change at some point. I don't pay a copay and I have yet to pay a single bill plus prescriptions are less than $1. Go to your provider and show them that they input codes wrong. I just had to today because I got a statement that said 'this is not a bill' but they messed up so if they don't fix it you will pay $400.
@babydiehl2016, that sucks. glad u finally got something to cover you. i dont qualify for medicade. My husband & I make too much 🙁🙁
@tasticmel, i work for USPS so i have insurance through our union....but the provider is Cigna. Turns out my claims may have been billed wrong....so fingers crossed the remaining part of my bills is covered!
@vikki655, of course. they think we're made of money!!
i was under the impression that prenatal care was covered 100% by my insurance. My 1st round of blood work was done through our hospital and it was almost $5000 and my portion is $1200.....and my hospital is in network. Its a bunch of crap....@babydiehl2016, i was never offered that test. i found out the gender through a sonogram that i elected to pay for. This is all bloodwork!! its insane. then I find out that the lab tried to bill it under a different code....just trying to get $ from me!! its laughable but it pisses me off!!
Tomorrow I gotta go do my labs for my preop. Wednesday I get my tubes tied 😀 so happy
It’s no problem when my money is covering my husbands part of the bills but god forbid when it’s time for him to pay me back no only does he give me a little at a time when I wasn’t paying bills little at a time but he always try to play this guilt card talking about I got no money well I don’t got money either when I have to pay ur portion I don’t feel bad

I know she lying. Pick a bill any bill.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I told my friend my mom wants to throw me a baby shower and write on the invite "monetary gifts only" and he told me that people aren't trying to pay for my "gas bill" I'm offended because a lot of money goes into a baby shower, and if you're gonna give me a 10$ blanket from Ross that I probably won't even use it's a waste. I rather use those 10$ for my honest company diaper subscription.
the state of NM requires that every child be covered....so even if i didn't add her, she would have state coverage @ains4073
