@hola I have Cigna and I only have to pay a $20 copay if my dr does it in her office.

Live in Florida and prestige Medicaid does cover it. I went over it in detail with them because I plan on having my son being circumcised. As long as it's done in the hospital after birth or in a approved facility within 90 days it's covered 100%

@Hola Both my sons circumcisions were covered and I had Cigna with my first birth and blue cross with my second.

I live in Idaho, and work in OB (LD and Mom/Baby), most private insurances here cover some of it. The only one I know that doesn't cover it whatsoever is Medicaid.

Really dizzy, I've haven't come across one that does because of the whole cosmetic surgery thing. Maybe it depends on state as well.

Pp, not true. Some insurances cover circumcision after meeting your deductible. Mine does. I have Select Health.

I have BCBS n they cover 100% of my prenatal care along with my csection but circumcisions aren't covered on any insurance.

My bcbs said everything was covered. Then I got am $900 Bill for it. I called but they said when I was told that my epi wasn't included or hospital stay etc. Then I get a separate Bill from the anesthesia people because they can bill me separate for administration of the epidural. Then I got a bill for my son's stay and circumcision (aparrently I wasn't covered because it is considered "cosmetic" grand total my "free" ended up being over $1500 I've been making payments for over 2 years. And I'm pregnant again without having that bill paid off. I'll owe them forever I guess.

It was my first visit and the 2 ultrasounds I've had.. I will be making all the calls Monday to get it sorted out. It doesn't make sense since last month my doctors office told me that they contacted my insurance and was told it was all being covered and I didn't owe nothing.

Yes blood work is billed separately because it gets sent to a lab n that lab may or may not take Ur insurance.

They don't always send things through insurance correctly, just wait till Monday and make some calls

Ur insurance should have sent u an explanation of benefits. U get one every time u use Ur insurance for whatever reason.

Is Ur Dr in network or out of network. Beat to wait till Monday n speak with the person at Ur drs office who handles billing so they can explain what happened then u need to call Ur insurance to find out on their end as well.

I got the bill from my doctors office. And I wasn't* able to speak with anyone over the phone. I just hope its all being slowly processed.

I called my insurance when I found out that I was pregnant to find out our benefits. I was told that I had a $40 copay to the doctor for delivery, and a $500 hospital copay. So here I am all excited because I think it's only going to cost $540 to have a baby. I got a bill later and figured out I was told wrong. ? Both of those things are true, but only after my deductible is met. If my deductible had been met BEFORE I gave birth, it would have only cost me $540, but that wasn't the case.

I never take peoples word for it when it involves my insurance n my money. I've always called my insurance to find out for myself so I can have peace of mind.

I have phoenix health plan. I just looked online and see that they are open so I will be giving them a call right now.

Does the bill show the insurance was billed? I got a bill the other day for my son's arm being casted. They never even billed the insurance. I sent hem a copy of my insurance card.

What insurance? We had a bill that was to be fully covered by insurance of almost 2000 for my daughter's birth. I called the hospital and explained it was to be covered by insurance and they fixed it.

What insurance? We have BCBS through DH's work and occasionally will run behind. They're covering my entire pregnancy and one day I recieved a bill for an ultrasound that I shouldn't have.

All I had to do was call and they said that it was covered but hadn't been processed yet. It was no big problem.

Yeah, just call your insurance company on Monday. Maybe, they haven't processed the claim.
