how much is a 2 week old supposed to eat? my baby is formula fed & he only drinks 1.5 or 2oz a feeding every 2ish hours.. sometimes he will eat 3oz but it seems like too much for him bc he will spit up even when i burp him. is this ok? i feel like i’m not feeding him enough but at the same time he seems content w/ 2oz & don’t wanna upset his belly with 3oz
I was told at that age its still on demand, as in whenever they're hungry. My son was wanting about 2 ounces every two hours at that point though
Deacon us supposed to take 320ml a day, broken up however he can eat it, preferably 40 ml every 3 hr and 55ml every 4. But he is also really small and only 5 lb 10.8oz
Kooper is the same will eat anywhere from .5 to 3 ounces doctor said he is fine and perfect and to try to get him to eat atleast 1-2ounces a time so he isn’t snacking lol and isn’t getting use to snacking
My baby is 2 weeks, almost 3 in a couple days. I always have the same concern when it comes to her eating. I switch off from bottle to breast and she usually eats 2 to 3 ounces every 2 1/2 to 3 hours from a bottle. If she's really fussy after a bottle, I offer the boob and she usually takes it just for comfort. If I feed her from the breast instead of the bottle, she nurses for about 15 minutes ( I have a pretty fast flow and mass production of milk)
I've been told babies will eat until they are full. That the stomach is a muscle, will expand, and the baby knows the limit.
I did formula feed my baby while we had a jaundice hospital stay scare and she usually took about 3 ounces.
After burping my baby, I usually have her sitting upright because she had issues spitting up too.
Feeding from a bottle, they tend to get more air than when nursing from the breast so try to burp. I had issues with getting her to burp until someone on here told me to move her in different positions and rubbing her back which works better.
Eliana is the same she takes from an oz to 3 oz now, I’d say he’s doing fine! 😊
@kartersmommyy, talk to her about his eating see what she says, because my son would stay hungry and id have to give him 4oz, now hes satisfied with 3oz But before he wasn’t having it
@lnkedupmommy, yeah i had one last week & i have one tomorrow
They say an ounce for every hour, 2oz every two hours is average. But every baby is different as long as your baby is eating, have you went to Pediatrition Appoitment yet
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Now I feel like my baby is eating to much... Like is that possible? He wasn't getting a enough an so were feeding him like every 2 hours but seems like that if not before that he's hungry again... I'm just so confused
So Charlies started crying when im feeding him solids was getting stressed thinking why wont he eat.. but when i offer him finger foods he will happily eat.. its like he just wants to do it himself! Anyone else had this?
Question ladies I started giving my son solid food at 4 1/2 months old. And I only gave him 2oz of oatmeal and half a container of veggies once a day he gets it before bed I'm currently still doing the same feeding with it but I know when they get older you can do veggies like 2-3 times a day. How much do you guys do a day?
my baby usually eats 2oz a feeding but whenever i stop at 2oz now he gets super mad and cry and violently chews on his hands like he’s hungry so i give him 3oz and he still continues to cry & i’m burping him well during feedings. i’m not gonna give him 4oz bc he will just spit it up. idk what to do
Theo would eat about 1.5 oz every few hours at that age just as long as the have wet\poop diapers and are gaining weight all is good
