I was told the DNA test for an unborn child is very invasive. Like they have to stick a needle in your stomach.

They can’t just take your blood. They have to go in an get the babies blood or amniotic fluid something of the sort. I could be wrong.

@mariarose114, they stick a needle into the amniotic sac and take the DNA from there is what I've heard about it but it could cause early labor in some cases just google it it'll tell you everything you need to know

@mariarose114, most doctors won’t even do it anymore. They stick an needle into your stomach and extract cord blood. Its VERY risky and is so expensive, like 1400$.

It’s best to wait until after the baby is born. Check if your state allows a paternity test before signing the paternity papers.

@mariarose114, I mean i think it’s better when you get it done later and wait but she needs to stop hassling you about it. I get it too. But like she needs to stop you’re only 13 weeks. And ITS NOT REALLY ANY OF HER BUSINESS. If my MIL ever told me to put my baby at risk and basically inducing a miscarriage (which I don’t know how she is but if she knows this information she may be bothering you about it because she wants you to miscarry. Some MIL are really THAT awful) id tell my MIL to fuck off. I’m pretty sure you can only get a DNA test before the child is born in the invasive way and there’s not any non invasive ways to do it. Some OB’s will be like can you wait please? Because they don’t want a child’s death on their shoulder for something that could be entirely avoided.

If you sign up for child support they will do A DNA test for free.

I have done a NON INVASIVE TEST All you need is you and the father of your child blood it’s expensive but still did it they even gave me the gender before I found out by my ob they said I would have a boy and it was positive that he was the father within a week I went to the ob and they confirm it was a boy
