I breastfed my son for 11 months. My daughter is only 4 weeks old, and I desperately want to quit breastfeeding. I love my baby girl, but breastfeeding has been causing me so much pain and discomfort this time around. It's making me angry. I want to switch to formula so that I have my sanity for my children. Has anyone else been in this position before?

@jsco, I discovered she has a yeast infection on her tongue. It's given me one on my nipple. I've got what's called a milk blister. It is SO painful. I've continued breastfeeding though because she's having trouble with the formula now. I'll be going to the docs for both of us soon.
Have you seen a lactation consultant ? She may have a lip or tongue tie that's causing her to hurt you
Yup part of the reason I switched to formula with my daughter after she turned 3 months
@oliverandmommy aw I'm sorry. That would definitely cause pain. Hopefully the doctor can get you healed up fast !
