Anyone has success in weight loss? After my son was born I lost most of the weight and got back into drinking on the weekends at home with my husband and friends...in June I got totally sober and have replaced drinking with food and gained about 10 lbs back. It’s time to use that same willpower and determination to stop the snacking and the sweets and get my body back...anyone have any success with something similar? Or just weight loss tips in general?? Any apps that helped?
I usually soak it in water with vinegar to kill germs and that fishy fish smell lol. Then I rinse, start seasoning which is 🗝.. Then I put it on the grill and that's it.. Also I just broil or steam vegetables sprinkle with herbs or tiny bit of parmesan cheese to get the kids to eat 😉. Some times I make stuff fish which is really good.. I buy my fish already cleaned which helps. So I put veggies like green/red and sweet peppers mix with coq soup packets and place inside the fish wrap in foil and bake or put on the barbeque grill @brynsmommie
I gained a bit of weight before I got pregnant because I quit smoking so I’ve lost all my baby weight but I have that extra weight still that I gained pre pregnancy that needs to go ASAP

Look in to carb cycling I lost 10-15 pounds in a month and you can still eat healthy carbs just small portions
@brynsmommie, I understand the cheese thing lol it’s the one thing I have had a hard time with. But I got used to not having it, and I will cheat once in a while.
I make my own hummus most of the time, I’m obsessed with garlic lol and it’s soo good homemade. I’m sure there is a low fat vinaigrette you could use, but for my salads I like to chop everything up pretty small including the lettuce, spinach and kale. And I mush avocado and lemon juice together and mix it up with the salad.
@starting_over39, what kind of protein powder? I was using one before that made me feel sick to my stomach after drinking it
I don’t really like any dairy except cheese....I’m obsessed with cheese lol I do like veggies and hummus. Do you make the hummus yourself or store bought? I used to cut up veggies after I got home from grocery shopping and package everything so salads were really easy to make....what about salad dressing? What kind do you use @alecandfrankiesmum,
I love fish @starting_over39, how do you cook yours? I’m starting from scratch on my weekly meals so Having some yummy meals that my family will like, should help ease them into the new style of eating!!
@brynsmommie, I always keep fruit and veg cut up in the fridge. Especially carrots and hummus it’s filling and a lot less fatty then dairy. Also if I really want a good snack guacamole and a low fat corn chip Is my go to. Once you’re not eating meat and dairy you will digest your food a lot faster, so the fat from avocados and chick peas won’t stay with you like it would on a meat diet. I try to choose more gluten free things as well because I get way too bloated, so I use gluten free buns for burgers if I can.
I love that I can eat as much as I want without gaining anything
Yup try not to eat late and eat small meals but often and workout.. I do not not eat meat but I'm not a vegan it's been 4+ yrs.. I'm a pescutarian I eat mainly fish as a substitute and not everyday though I substitute with protein drinks and wow peanut butter which also has omega in it as another form of protein @brynsmommie
I would like to see drastic changes so will start going to the gym twice a day every other day @brynsmommie
I went to the gym and lost almost all baby weight. Then I got on birth control (mirena) and the pounds started packing on. I use to be a size 16 and went down to a size 7 in 1 year back in 2010. So I'm about to do the same thing again.
Example of my daily routine which I'm doing today. Breakfast: egg white (2), half of pita bread, and half of a grapefruit (great for belly fat loss) if I still feel peckish I would have a tangerine etc.. Snack time: I would have like a few almonds and an apple. Lunch time: a beet smoothie or mango with a salad you could add chicken or watermelon to change it up etc.. Snack time: yogurt plain with carrot sticks then dinner: I would have salmon or most likely king fish with a toss salad or steamed vegetables depends how I feel later with a tall glass of lemon water. if I want another snack later I could have 1 cup of special k cereal with strawberries using 1% milk. I usually fit a protein smoothie in after gym so I usually don't eat a nighttime snack. @brynsmommie
I was going to ask you about this for sure....I would like to remove meat from my diet....do you have any face recipes I could try? Not eating past 7 would def help me because that’s when I do ALL of my snacking....what do you do instead when you’re bored?
I lost all of the weight after Frankie, by going vegan. I know that sounds extreme, but it really helps. I went back to eating some cheese and baked things, and started gaining again.
Now I’m eating vegan again, and avoiding bread, and potatoes and I’m back to where I was. I also don’t eat anything past 7 ever.
