My son has some on the back of his head. His were never raised but they have actually faded alot already. They told us you wouldn't be able to see it really by the time he started kindergarten. But my grandma also had them when she was born and still has hers alittle too.

@mommaofjais, my nephew had a spot like this in his back. They called it a "cherry" and Drs said it would fade away by the time he was 5 and he's almost 10 now and it did start going away around when he was 5-6

I don't know why people automatically jump to the conclusion that we are in someway neglecting our babies! Like wft! For example when the baby is crying, "mommy hasn't fed you." Babies cry for many different reasons, people, move along.

I don't see why she had to ask what you did to her hand, she could've asked in another way or not at all! People should really mind their business.

Oh, I’m sure! I love that it’s on her whole finger ❤️ my son also has a stork bite on his forehead but I didn’t know that’s what it was until his two month appointment. It was there at birth but they said it was just bruising from the birth but it never went away. So, they finally told me it was actually a birth mark too.

@mommaofjais, 😂 my daughter was actually born with it I guess but it was sooo light. And it was purple/blue. Someone had to come check it out because it looked like a bruise and we didn’t know how she got it lol it was around two weeks when it turned bright red. It scared me 😭 cause it literally happened outta no where lol

Right? Who knows lol I was freaked when I first saw my kid’s. I thought it was just a really weird mole lol

@mommaofjais, the one on her chest has gotten more spread out so it does seem bigger but the one on her wrist has pretty much stayed the same size. Her doctor told me it should fade mostly by three 😂 and then my doctor that delivered her said it probably won’t ever 100% go away. So I guess we will see some day lol

Oh wow. Yeah they do look similar. Hers is bigger and a lot less thick. I’ve heard that’s the most common place for them

His showed up around that time too lol I read they’re supposed to go away around the age of ten but I’ve heard of people having it forever or losing them younger than 5. Guess it just depends

Yeah I’ve looked them up too. Has hers grown? His just keeps getting bigger the more he grows

@mommaofjais, the one on her chest looks very similar to that. The one on her wrist and finger and super patchy now. They looked the same when she first got it around two weeks old, it was all just super red, and now it’s how it is in my picture and patchy. So it has faded some but it’s stayed the same since.

@mommaofjais, yeah that’s what they told me it was anyways lol I’ve looked it up and it looks different from the pictures I’ve seen of them but, I guess they vary

@mommaofjais, that’s actually what it is! What does his look like now? Her doctor said it will fade but won’t clear up 100%, even with laser surgery . Which I’m not gonna do.

My niece has one on her chest when she was born. It was raised at first but now that she’s 16 it’s pretty flat. It’s called a strawberry hemangioma

It really is. Like you said, nothing is wrong with curiosity. If you would like to know, don't ask, "what's wrong with her?" Or any other rude question because nothing is wrong. You didn't burn her or anything else. People are just annoying.

@breloya, exactly! I think that’s what gets me upset is that people automatically assume the worst. I’ve had someone asked me if I’ve burned her before too. It’s a shame.

Right, like don't just assume the worst. My daughter is well loved. I don't even pop or spank her, let alone abuse her smh.

People assumed my daughter was abused and bruised because of her birth marks. She has Mongolian spots on each shoulder and partially on her back and also a big one on her butt.
