IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years!!! It was a good thing we picked up a trigger shot before we left too :-)
Hey angel, mom and kilbert. I ended up getting my period so Dance was the only successful one from our group this cycle. Hopefully all you ladies get your bfp this month! I talked with my husband and we will not be doing IUI again. We will be waiting and doing IVF in the future. So I will be dropping off the grid and not visiting this ap while we wait to do IVF. But I wish you all the best luck and pray you get your bfp's!
Angel, Ashton, I'm sorry about your bfn's...it doesn't get easier not seeing that other line. Hopefully we will all get our bfp's sooner rather than later!! CD 3 today for me and a visit with my FS tomorrow to discuss our plans for this month. Dh wants to keep going so hopefully we can still move forward (which I don't think will be a problem).
Aston, I hope it's not af. I asked my re about doing the booster hcg and he's against that unless you do injections. I was hoping it would help me. Game plan is to finish this cycle naturally and hope af doesn't show her face. If she does we will try femara and iui again next cycle.
Hey mom. No I'm not on progesterone. I tested this morning and pretty sure it was a bfn then I started to have horrible af cramps. I still haven't started bleeding but I'm pretty sure now that it didn't work :'( theres still a small chance but I doubt it. I'll keep y'all posted. I pray we all get our bfp's soon!!!
Ashton, I'm not sure if it would delay af....I don't think it would as it was 9 days ago. Are you on progesterone as well? Cause that would definitely delay af! BUT....am really hoping for you that it is a baby that is delaying af for you!!
Keep me updated!!!
Hey ladies! I thought I would update. Yesterday or today is my expected period ( which hasn't shown yet) so I have my fingers crossed that I get my bfp. I tested this afternoon and the line was sooooo faint. I don't know if its left over from the half dose trigger I got 9 days ago or if its a true positive. I plan on waiting until Sunday to test with fmu. Those suckers are expensive! Anyway fx for all of our bfp's!
Side question, was anyone heard of a trigger delaying your period? My re told me it wouldn't but I'm just checking with y'all. (Trying to explain away why my period is MIA...) have a great weekend and focus on the good things! :-)
Ozark, that's a big decision to make but glad that you and dh have been able to decide what you want to do! You will love that baby(or babies!) just like it was your biological child :-)
Please please please keep me updated!!!!
Ashton and angel, definitely keep us posted!! More than one of us should get a bfp!! Sounds promising so far!!
Sounds good ladies. Fx for both of you. I go to my re tomorrow and one thing I'm going to ask him about is the hcg booster shot. I have issues in my luteal phase and I don't spot when I'm on it. Most other cycles when I'm not on it I spot post o until af. My prog. Is usually always good too. So confusing. I wish there was an easy answer.
Thank you dance!! I am so excited, I just think I am. These cramps are so bizarre. They are intermittent and some are pretty painful. But the minute I think "oh maybe I was wrong, this feels like an af cramp" it's over. They only last for a few moments and then they're gone. So they give me hope. Plus my breasts are SO sore! Unlike anything I've ever experienced. Are you experiencing something similar? Would you mind telling me all the symptoms you have been experiencing post IUI? Thanks I'd appreciate it! Fx an ill keep y'all posted!!!
Ashton- cramps are a good sign! I distinctly remember them starting on 10-11 dpIUI. They were painful at times but not as terrible as real af cramps. They came and went and for the most part I could ignore them (but still knew they were there). Definitely a good sign to have and a good time to have it!! Fx and baby dust!
Hey ladies! Sorry mom and Kelbert about bfn, I'll be praying that next month is your month!! As for me, I am excitedly optimistic! My period is due on Friday but I can't test early because I received a second trigger shot last week so I could get a false positive so I just have to wait but my symptoms are pretty exciting. I feel more than what I felt with the first full-dose trigger before IUI which is why I'm so excited! Hey dance, did you have stronger but brief and sporadic period like cramps a few days before af? I have been cramping on and off since 9dpiui. Fx and baby dust to everyone!!!
Negative results :'(
We will try again in April or May when finances are better :-). So glad to hear your beta results are so strong dance!! Keep us updated!!
Waiting to hear back from my fs to get the results of my beta drawn yesterday...though I already know the results, I am still hoping for a miracle...
Great news dance. I'm so happy for you. Unfortunately for me af showed her ugly face. I want to continue a new cycle w/ iui and femara for this cycle, but I have too many questions to ask over the phone, so I need a consult. I can't get in until thurs and that's too late. The good news is that last cycle I had the my highest prog level ever.
Oh my gosh, he was so surprised! I have never been able to keep anything from him, especially nothing this big. He actually kind of rolled his eyes at me when he saw that I got him two cards but then once he saw the pregnancy test his jaw was on the floor! We had such a wonderful night, I want to live it all over again.
Mom, yes I tested yesterday bfn. I'm getting my normal pre af spotting now, so pretty sure I'm out. I'm going to see what my dr plans for the next step to be. I have lots of questions and if he doesn't plan to do anything w/ my luteal phase issues I'm going to look for a new re. This infertility struggle is so hard to deal with.
Angel, good luck to you. I hope you get your bfp.
Tested this morning...bfn....so pretty sure I am out this month. I was really hoping that this month was my month :-(
Financially, I think we need to take at least a month off, but emotionally I don't know if I can do it...we've got a lot of decisions to make now.
Ozark, sorry to hear about your bfn. I might join the other board as well...
Kelbert, have you tested yet hun?
I got a bfn today. I'm prob out this cycle. I'll keep checking on this thread but I'm mostly moving to the TTC With Difficulties group. It's private and full of frequent posters. I hope all you awesome ladies will join me over there. There's a thread on this board asking for people who want to join. Ill try to find it and bump. I'm just too emotionally fragile for a public board. Love and baby dust to all! Hope to see you post on the other side :)
Yay! Well we will have to see. I had 4 eggs and dh had a total of 100 mil post wash so I know there were some good ones in there, I'm hopeful!! I too would be ecstatic if we had twins, twice the blessing!! Now all we have to do is wait and see... :-)
Enjoy your dinner tonight, I'm excited for you!!
Ashton, cramps right around 9-10 dpiui is definitely a good sign! It's a little early to have pms cramps. And I had 3 follicles when I did the trigger so there is always the chance of twins! That would be crazy!! I would be so excited though. I would feel completely blessed to just have 1 healthy baby in there.
I fought the urge to test this morning after I had a dream that I had an ultrasound telling me I was pregnant with one :-) then I saw myself pregnant, then with a newborn on my chest. I woke up wishing that this was true! Tomorrow I will be 13dpiui, and will test in the am. I am preparing for bfn, but have this feeling it may be positive...bbs have gotten more sore now after having gotten better, and my nausea has gotten worse every day. Plus I find if I don't eat every few hours I get really dizzy. Hopefully it isn't the progesterone! Will keep you ladies updated!!
Oh! and Happy Anniversary dance!!! What a wonderful gift! And to have it the same day as dd has to be a good sign ;-) keep us posted on your beta results!!
I think my line is too dark to be trigger, and I've heard of women saying they had the trigger faintly in their system at 14 days, but I've never heard of anyone say it was there past 15 days. Also, I took 3 more tests, all positive! I'm pretty convinced, but of course the blood test monday morning will confirm it :) It's DH's and my 1 year anniversary tonight!! We have been together since 2008 and have a 3 year-old daughter together, but only got married last year. We have a dinner date tonight (even got a babysitter), so I'm looking forward to telling him through cards tonight. I'll have 2 cards, labeled "#1" and "#2". He'll open #1 first, which is a Happy Anniversary card. It will then instruct him to open #2, which is a baby card that has the pregnancy test in it! Can't wait to see the look on his face! Also, I found out I was pregnant with my DD on EXACTLY THIS DAY, so they might share the same bday. This is all so exciting, thank you ladies SO SO SO SO much for your kind words and all your support and love. I don't know what I'd do without you all!
BFP BFP BFP BFP! I tested one day earlier than I said I would and I got two clear lines on the frer! I'm so excited!! I've waited 14 long months to get this positive. I'm shaking I don't even know what to do with myself. I took the trigger 15 day ago, you don't think this is the trigger right?
Hey all! I am 7dpiui and like y'all praying for a bfp! This was my first IUI. I took clomid, injections, trigger, back to back IUIs 2/14 and 2/15. I had 4 eggs an dh counts were 60 and 42 million respectively post wash. Our issue is low morphology. I found out today that it is between 0-1% :(( but my RE says that it can still work so I'm praying and trying to remain hopeful! I went in today for a follow up ultrasound and a boost trigger shot, apparently it supports the implantation and embryo (I'm guessing it takes the place of progesterone sups) anyway if it didn't work then af is due next Friday so fx!!! I pray we all get our bfp!!!!
I'm having cramps but mostly just in the uterus. My AF cramps are usually in the front of my upper legs. So I am hopeful. Of course I took another poas today and its a big fat maybe! Really I think I see a line, but only after I stare and squint a long time. Will keep testing daily. Fx and sticky baby dust to all!
Hello ladies! 10 days past IUI today and finally starting to feel some symptoms!! I've got the uterine cramps badddd. Felt them all day beginning this morning and a little bit yesterday. Feels just like af is on her way :( oh well, I mentally prepared myself for a bfn so I guess it won't be that big of a surprise. I have an appointment with the RE tomorrow to discuss next cycle which will be another IUI (need to do 2 more for Ivf to be covered). I have decided only to poas on Sunday before my blood hcg test. Just trying to keep myself busy until then!
Ashton- welcome!
Yes! There should be a poas support group. I tested at 9dpiui even thought I knew better... I told myself I wanted to be sure my trigger was really all gone... When what I was looking for was a faint pink line. Well it was a bfn. I mean really bfn. I've stared at it in daylight and with a bright flashlight in the house. And ive looked at it multiple times. Ugh. I wish there was just a tiny camera in my uterus with a reality show featuring my egg that I could tune into!
I've never had my progesterone checked, though this cycle I kinda wish that they would have checked. Hard on the sex life with the progesterone supps...my poor hubby...lol.
So I'm wavering....I am seriously considering testing early, but don't want to get a false positive...or a bfn even....I feel like there should be a poas addict support group with levels like AA...lmao
Welcome Ashton! It would be awesome if we were all success stories :), Fx for you. Holding up well, although I still don't think I'll get my bfp. If I do then I would be over the moon. I don't know how I would hold up. My neighbors would probably hear me screaming w/ excitement and call the police, lol. I just had my prog checked and am waiting on the results. Hoping I o'd. Did you ladies have your levels checked?
I'm feeling pretty good. Finally over the cold. I tested out my trigger and it's been completely gone for a few days. I did test this morning BFN but I'm only 9 dpiui. So its still really early. Had about 15 min of moderate cramps last night. Hoping implantation. But honestly between AF symptoms and all the hormones I'm on, there's no use symptom spotting. Of course I do it all the same. TG I have to work 3-11 tonight. That'll keep me busy. Good luck, fx, and baby dust to all!!!
Dance, I really hope you o’d…though you should have with the trigger. Maybe your body has gotten used to incredibly high hormone levels and is giving you a break! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!
Ashton, welcome!! I am really hoping that we all have success stories on this thread! What’s your story? Was this your first iui?
Ozark, Kelbert, how are you ladies holding up? Angel, any updates? How did your iui go?
Our wait is almost up! I almost caved in and bought some of the dollar store cheapies yesterday, but fought the temptation! Lol I have 3 clearblue hpts under my bathroom sink, but can’t quite justify testing with them yet if the trigger is still in my system (though I don’t think that it is…last cycle it was out by day 7 post trigger). Ugh…this waiting is brutal, and it doesn’t help when you symptom spot EVERYTHING!! Plus, I research tons, which feeds into my impatience some days!
Beta Monday…t-minus 5 days and counting! FX for everyone!!!
Angel eyes, welcome!!! Let us know how tomorrow goes!! I'm sure it will go great!
Dance, I will be testing Sunday too. I will be 14dp trigger, and 13 days past iui. I have my beta booked for Monday, but dh will be home Sunday and not Monday so would rather see the results with him present.
Ozark, glad to hear that you are feeling better! And kelbert, I am trying hard not to symptom-spot too! Though lately it isn't working so well...lol. I know that it is probably the progesterone, but I've been experiencing af-type cramps for the past few days, and my bbs are incredibly sore...like can't even touch them! Plus the past two days nausea has been added to the mix. At some points it even wakes me up at night. I really really am hoping that this is a positive sign of a bfp, but don't want to get my hopes up too high!
I hope this week flies by!
Still recovering from the head cold. I'm 6dpiui and symptom spotting like mad. TG it's back to work for me tomorrow! I did grab a fresh pineapple at the store today. It's supposed to help with implantation. At any rate it's yummy & full of vitaminC. Fx and baby dust to all. By this time next week someone will have a bfp! Hopefully we all will :)
Good morning ladies!
Angel eyes, good luck w your iui. You'll be a week behind most of us :)
I'll test tomorrow to make sure my trigger is out. I will then test fri, mon and then af due on wed the 27th. Praying she doesn't show her face. Today I am having pains in my middle, low abdomen. Trying not to over think my symptoms, lol.
How's everyone else feeling?
Dance, stress can affect a lot of things. You are supposed to o w/ the trigger. I had the trigger and am doubting it as my temps have been so low. We tried to bd today and my ovary/hip area where I had my follicles hurt so bad. Good luck to you.
Ozark, you'll forget about childbirth once you are holding your beautiful baby :)
Kelbert it probably wasn't actually 28 child birth videos maybe actually 6 or 7. It was bc I got to thinking this IUI might actually work and then what! Im a bit freaked out about the birth part. Lol. Anyway I've seen births in real life but that's not my nursing field. I'm in Inpatient Physical Rehab.
Dance, I think with a trigger shot you'll ovulate no matter what. And then your chances are as good as anyone's. fx and baby dust :)
Hi ladies, haven't posted in a while. I'm 6 dpo and trying soooo hard not to symptom spot! Even so, I've been having lots of cramps. Very noticeable from about two days ago and continuing since then. I think its a little too early for implantation but its hard not to wonder. In any other scenario I'd be popping the Advil but I'm resisting because I know we shouldn't take that if preg. I had soooo much stress surrounding my IUI and I'm wondering if any of it affected my ovulation? I live in Boston and I had to fight through a ginormous blizzard to get to the fertility office to even get the IUI done and I stressed myself out unnecessarily about that. On top of that, the night before the IUI I came down with norovirus and I had the most awful vomiting, diarrhea and fevers. I felt so beaten and battered by the time I got to the IUI that I almost considered canceling it thinking there's no way it could work under all that bodily stress. Add to that all my stress at work which is at an all time high (I'm a doctor and things are always crazy). But I did do the trigger shot so I'm kind of hoping it got me to ovulate regardless of the outside stressors. What do you guys think?
Ozark, that's great that your schedule is flexible to join Dh. Makes it better then you being stuck at home the whole time. 28 videos is that for fun or for work?
Mom, stinks about ins meds. hopefully you wont need more. I'm having some low cramping. Not feeling as tired as my trigger is getting out if my system.
I just found out our insurance covers fertility meds only up to $2000 in a lifetime...considering meds alone this cycle was 750, that doesn't cover much :-S
I m beginning to mentally prepare myself for a bfn...even though I know it is still early, I find it is easier to cope with a negative if you've thought that all along. And if it is positive, then even more to celebrate!
I am desperately trying not to symptom spot, cause I know that the progesterone can mimic a lot of the same symptoms of pregnancy....so have been distracting myself at the gym! A good habit I think! lol
Ozark, I am a nurse also!! And thought about doing massage therapy prior to being diagnosed with arthritis :-)
Kelbert, how are you feeling?
That's why I'm doing IUI!...well one of the many reasons. But timing is a fertility issue with DH working out of town. But the times in between are awesome. I'm self employed as a massage therapist and I work prn as a nurse. So I can take off a month or so when DH is off work. We travel a lot. In the last 4 years I've been to prob 20 states and 8-9 countries. Of course now at age 39 I'm wishing I had that money back for fertility treatment!!!
Oh wow! I think that I would go crazy if my hubby was gone for that long!
Kelbert, you aren't out until af says you're out! :-)

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .

Or how about …
“You have a BABY? No! You look like a baby yourself!”👶
Oh wait, here’s a good one …
“Are you the nanny, ooor … ?”
“No, yeah I’m his mom,” I’d reply. “Yes, I am young,” I’d agree.
Considering I got pregnant straight out of college, I was certainly on the younger end of the parenting spectrum. (No one was more surprised than me, I assure you.) And yet, I wasn’t exactly a teen mom. I wasn’t juggling school courses and motherhood, like so many s...

I called the midwife at my hospital and told her I lost it and was having really bad cramping and she told me I was fine and was prob just having BH contractions.
