I need some help, advice... anything at this point... so for a little over a year, my now 5 year old son has been pooping in his pants... almost every day! I tried to help regulate him by setting a specific time for him to go every day and for awhile that was working, he was pooping the same time every night. Now I don't know what to do. I can't keep throwing away underwear.... (sorry but I'm not patient enough to want to clean the poop out of his underwear).... I'm sad and frustrated. My husband and I don't know what to do. We thought maybe it had to do with me being pregnant last year and then having his little brother (October 2016) but it has since continued... he plays and then doesn't want to stop playing to go to the bathroom, other times he said he didn't realize he pooped (hello, you don't feel a lump of crap in your underwear?!) other times he will poop and the poop is like a foot long and a thick as a coke can.... what do I do?? He starts kindergarten this fall and I'm afraid it will just continue at school and this can't happen. He needs to stop. 😔

I know someone who is an adult now who pooped his pants until he was 12 or 13. I can't exactly ask him about it because it's a touchy subject for him, but he told me once when he was drunk that he did it for attention at first, and then ot just became a habit to spite his mother. They had a really rocky relationship. I don't know of that helps, I'm not implying that you and your son have a rocky relationship, but I thought I'd pass that along.

@therurallady, that's what I thought too... that it was attention seeking due to him no longer being the baby, etc. I remember my oldest son doing this exact thing when my 5 year old was born but it only lasted a week.... an entire year?! I just wish I could figure it out.

Its just a phase they go through. My oldest went thru it for like two years from when she was 2 until 4 years old. I don't know how to stop it she just stopped doing it one day

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Mommas I need advice. Kynton gets a super bad rash when he poops. From one poop and maybe 45 seconds of him being in that diaper turns his butt bright red and blisters. We only use Huggies and Pampers diapers. Could it be disposables that do this? The gel stuff mixing with his poop that creates the rash?? And should I try a few cloths to see if it helps? Or what do I do. He poops at least 2 times if not sometimes more a day. And it puts him in agonising pain. His Drs said don't worry but his Booty is always red, bleeding and hurts him.

son getting out of car seat

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
