My sons umbilical cord stump fell off last week there was a little bit still left. This morning when I was changing his diaper and was folding down the top part of the new diaper there was a little blood on the diaper. I touched his belly bottom and it wasn't continuing to bleed so I'm not sure if it's infected, if I need to bring him in, or what I need to do? He just had a bath last night? Idk if that caused irritation? HELP??

My sons was bleeding and kept oozing and smelled really bad like @raehow said....we had to get the dr to coterize it with silver nitrate and it was all better after that
Seems fine. My daughters was the same. The rest will fall off soon.
If it has a foul odor and is oozing it's infected. However, it doesn't sound like it is.
