Hey ladies I need some opinions please.... in my recent posts I've said that my family and I lost everything, our home and our puppy due to my fiancé looses his job we tried verything to find our family or friends who can care for her until we get back on our feet and get another place. We rehomed her to what seemed to be a good family 30 min out of town. Today we got a blessing.. a bittersweet blessing ❤️ my friend who works at the humane society found her there and automatically called us telling her she's there. My friend said someone found 10 minutes away from town. She traveled at least 12 miles. The past couple days the weather has been terrible. She been out there in the cold. Thankfully she didn't get hit by a car. She's skin and bones right now. But healthy. We took her back and thank the lord my fiances parents said they would take her for us until we get on our feet. We gave the people who we rehomed her too her kennel, brand new bag of dog food all her toys, and bowls. Everything. Thankfully my friend at the humane society said she can get us a kennel. The people have not said anything to me saying she's been missing... who knows how long she's been missing for? How many cold nights she's really been out there before someone found her? Seems to me they didn't try hard enough to find her. So yes we took her back she's our family and will not let her go through that ever again. I just don't know what to do. They paid us $150 for her and all her things. We had to pay money to get her out of the humane society. Plus she's skin and bones. We still have all the documentation of when we bought her and stuff. I'm just worried they'll find out that we may have her. Do I have every right to take her back? If she complains about the money I will pay her maybe half back but not all since she ended up in the humane society and seems to be not taken cared of. What do you guys think?
@hannibelle, my friend which vouch for us. The person who picked her up remains anonymous
@hannibelle, I guess yeah but they've had her for maybe a week now maybe a more. They paid $150 that's what I'm worried about
@mamayoung, I'd have the authorities check up on the other dog. For sure. If they chose to neglect your dog, they shouldn't be allowed to have the other dog either. Animals are not disposable.
@northwoodsmomma, actually the reason why I gave her to them is cause they actually have her brother there. I don't know if he's missing too but they haven't gotten ahold of me at all!
Agreed. Do they have other animals? I'd report them if they do. They are probably mistreating those animals too. And the dog is yours. Don't give them anything.
You adopted her from the humane society so she's yours they can't do anything.
