I swore my cat would be my daughter's best friend by how he acted when I was pregnant. He never left my side, he cuddled my belly every chance he got, he even let her kick him in the head repeatedly. But now that she's here, he's been such an asshole. He intentionally wakes her up, attacks me for no reason, and tears the house apart. He used to listen to us really well too, but now he just ignores us. He's so mad lol I still give him affection, cuddle him, and share my food with him, but nothing I do makes him act any better. He's acting like a jealous older sibling.

Try a product called Feliway, its the pheromone that is found in their cheeks, very safe/harmless to humans and is a natural anti anxiety to cats. It comes in sprays for bedding, wipes, collars and plug ins that last a month. It can take up to a month to see results but uts worth a shot! @edomke try D.A.P ( dog appeasing pheromone) read above only its a pheromone found in lactating dogs instead.

They will get over it...I just hope it doesn't get as bad as my dog has been. It's to the point where I start to resent her. She's gotten better though thank God because I was about to throw her out of the house

We've had issues with our dog as well, but she seems more depressed than anything. She's used to being called the baby and hates it when we refer to our daughter as the baby. I don't think she would hurt her, she's just really sad. It makes me feel awful @edomke

Ya we have had issues with my 2 year old dog.....now we are having another and I'm a little worried. She's yelped at Patrick and few times. I'm not afraid to throw her out the house if I have to...just watch your cat

I hope he doesn't either my cat started out the same way, just curious, but I guess he got tired of not getting as much attention as he used to

Oh no ): That's awful. I really hope it doesn't get to the point where he tries to hurt her. He seems curious, and he likes to sniff her and look at her when she's sleeping, but idk. He jumped up on the side of her bassinet yesterday and knocked it around a bit, and that's the first time he's done that. He's just so angry.

My tabby cat was the same way. but he didn't get better, only worse. He got to the point where he would swat at my daughter if she was within reach and if I was walking around with her he would claw my ankles to pieces. I ended up having to give him away.
