My 8 month old has deep cracks under his big toe where the creases are . These cracks go into his flesh and look really painful. One is dry looking and the other is a little bloody because it's so deep. What is this!?? He walks and crawls fine . How do I fix it . I don't want to put lotion as they look like open wounds . Has anyone ever seen this on their LO?

@hollyann710, yes he has his 9 month check up in a couple weeks so I will ask! :-)

Best thing to do is take him to the pcp to have his feet looked at before YOU do anything. They'll be able to tell you what it is

@mamahoude, if they start to look worse, call sooner! They'll maybe even do his check up a little early on if it's not too early to save you some trouble
