So a girl I know has just told me if you have an anterior placenta you need to have a c-section?? She has an anterior…

I had anterior placenta, and I had a normal delivery, it wasn't even mentioned to me @kim.m. Xxx

I had an anterior placenta with my daughter and had a normal delivery, c-section was never mentioned. she was back to back tho, which resulted in me having an epidural because of the contractions in my back. I have an anterior placenta again with this baby and no mention of a cestion. x

@littleelf85 I was on gas and air from 8cm...and pushed on nothing for an hour before a doctor came in an told me I would need a forcep delivery...my girls head was in a awkward angle...xxx there was just loads of pressure and mild period cramps throughout my labour...the pressure was uncomfortable xx

@littleelf85 No it wasn't painful...but since it was my first...I had nothing to compare to xx

@haribo83 I had an anterior placenta and felt proper kicks from 17 weeks and found at my 20 week scan is was anterior..which surprised me xx

iv an anterior placenta and been told i should be able to deliver normally although theres a bit more of a chance of baby being back to back? x

@kim.m., the only time a csection was mentioned with me was when Jacob got stuck. they said if they couldnt get him out with forceps that would be the last resort and my placenta was anterior. i also had an anterior placenta with my daughter, Chloe and she was born naturally. i think its only required if yr placenta is low lying as it could be blocking yr cervix x

Technically I should have felt movements at about 16wks because ive had previous pregnancies but i didnt feel regular movements til I was about 19wks/20wks xxx @haribo83

@kim.m., yeah you'd have known by now I'd think. Can I ask you, just had a nose on your profile and seen this isn't your first. This is my third, I'm 20 weeks tomorrow, how did the anterior affect feeling movements? I felt my second from 16 weeks and only been feeling this one once or twice the last week or so and only little bits. It's stressing me out abit now but I don't know if my placenta is anterior or not yet x

iv a low lying placenta. it's to low by just 1cm 😠 I found out I had a low lying placenta at my 28week scan and booked me in at 36 weeks for another scan to which it hasn't moved hence having a C section xx

I thought that to because surely I would have known if I was to get a section by now. She was so adamant though, saying every woman with an anterior placenta has to get a section xxx @haribo83

I don't think that's true. I think if it's lying low u may need section, but not if it's anterior xx
