What is it like to have a c-section? I was told by my doctor I would likely have one so I am kinda nervous.😯😯

@windshine yes they clean it up check the heart weight etc. but soon as your out of recovery you get baby. my first c-section was awful it was an emergency section and my baby had problems but my other two were much better I liked the drs I had.

Anytime. Check the hospital website (labor & delivery) and it should have the schedule. If not, just call. It's really helpful!

@windshine You should do a hospital tour and see what their policies are. I had a C Section in October and my hospital is "baby friendly". So they never take the baby away from you unless the baby has to go to NICU. I was handed my baby while they were still "working on me" in the surgery room and then while they finished my fiancé held the baby and went to recovery room with him. Then I was taken to recovery room to breastfeed baby. He was never away from me after that point. Even if your hospital is different, it is YOUR baby so communicate what you want. You can say "no you can't take my baby away". And make sure your husband/BF/support person knows that's what you want to. Everything will be great!

Don't stress over it. Especially so early. You don't want to get stressed or stress the baby.

I am not a high risk but my daughter is smaller than she should be. Her brain and heart are fine just her body is small. I feeling very unprepared @kandidenise1989

Not all pregnancies are the same. My sister had a amazing experience. She was home in 3 days. No complications with her or the baby.

I am really nervous.😯 I don't want to have to go through that. I wish I was having a healthy pregnancy. I want to stay with her the whole time @kandidenise1989

And I had to pump the first few days due to him having a feeding tube.

My first 3 were completely natural. We went home after 24 hours. And they all stayed with me.

I was there for 7 days. My baby was released before me. We both had complications. If you have a healthy pregnancy you should do fine.

My section baby was 6 weeks early. No, I didn't like it but he was hooked up to machines. Days 3-6 I got to stay in the NICU with him in a mom suit.

why does baby stay in nicu for 6 days? I know when my baby born I want her near me. When my first daughter was born she was natural and they gave her right to me and we stayed in the hospital for 2 days. where you comfortable with them taking the baby? @kandidenise1989

How does breastfeeding work in that case?

On your pelvic. Where you had the section. It just helps hold you still and gives you cushion.

Yes they will take the baby and check him/her over make sure everything is fine. And once you get out of recovery they will bring the baby back.

And they won't let you leave the hospital until you poop. Lol. It sounds nasty but they have to make sure everything is working.

It's different for ever person. I had a bad experience. my sister had a amazing one, not a problem at all. My son was a emergency c section 6 weeks early. I stayed in the hospital for 7 days. And I recommend taking it easy, especially for the first 2 weeks. On day 9 I busted my incision open from walking around tidying up the house. I had 4 kids I couldn't just sit and do nothing. But take it easy. After the baby is out they will remove the placenta and start to sew and glue you up. Always keep a pillow with you....if you cough, sneeze or even laugh it will hurt. Holding the pillow against you will help with that. And a belly band. The hospital should give you one. It will be your best friend. Once you start healing you will itch really bad on the inside and nothing you can really do about it. You will be amazed at what you body can overcome. Good luck.
