Anterior placenta?
I found out yesterday, at my 20 week scan, that I have an anterior placenta and won't feel my baby kick as much due to it. Not until late pregnancy. Anyone else have the same thing? If so, when did you feel your baby kick?
Im a ftm with Anterior placenta felt baby move for the first time when I was 18 weeks, I was In a loud place and I guess baby didn't like the noise lol.
I'm 25w5d now and feel her constantly, but I don't feel kicks I feel movement, like she's rolling around or something, like ac worm gliding across my belly...she's also low so it feels as if she is pressing on my bladder or trying to kick out my vag smh. Crazy lil girl. Idk maybe when she gets bigger I'll start to feel strong kicks, but if not I'm ok with that lol.
Mckelvak: Yes, I'm a ftm with an anterior placenta. I feel him more now that I'm almost 25weeks. I do have some days that I barely feel him kick though and other days where he is playing soccer inside my belly! Lol
I have this and didn't feel him start moving till about 25 weeks or a little longer . I still don't feel him move everytime he does . I'm now 33 weeks 3 days and he still really has to hit me for me to feel it but he does its just certain times off the day . It sucks sometimes and can sometimes be scary not feeling it , I went it because I didn't feel him move for a day but I had an ultrasound and he was having a dance party in there I just couldn't feel it . But in the end it just makes it even more special when you feel the movements .
I also have an anterior placenta. I'm only 21 weeks and I think I just felt him roll over! It made me scream! LOL!! Does anyone else get startled when they feel a kick or a movement? It's like when someone jumps out and scares you, it's funny! ?You'll feel baby, maybe it's just a different feeling with anterior ???
I have one!! My first kick I felt at 24 weeks when the doc was checking my babies heartrate. With her pushing on my stomach and I could hear the kicks from the doppler, I felt them so much it hurt. So after that everytime I layed down I pushed on my stomach to feel them. But... I am now 28w and I still dont feel much. Every once in a while usually when everything is quiet ill feel a stray kick.. but this could be once every couple of days. It sucks in a way but as long as babies healthy I dont see an issue in not feeling the kicks
I'm at almost 25 weeks now and feeling lots of kicks! It's an amazing feeling, I love it :) even my husband can feel him kick his arm! ???
I also found out at 20w I have an anterior placenta! The first time I felt the baby kick I was 23 w 3d at the doctors who was listening to the heartbeat. She heard one kick but I didnt feel a thing, so she started pushing on my stomach and with her pushing I felt the first few kicks! They were hard enough to hurt. That whole weekend everytime I laid down i pushed on my stomach to feel kicks. Most of the time it didnt work. Now I am 24w 3d and not much has changed. Im also curious to see when I start feeling them regularly
I'm hoping both me and my hubby feel something :) thanks ladies!
I have an anterior placenta! I'm 21 weeks and I can feel him! It's super low but I can always feel him. However it's not real hard so it still might be awhile until my husband can feel him. It's a bummer but you could feel the baby anytime. It doesn't always mean towards the end of your pregnancy :) I've been able to feel him since 18 weeks!
I felt her move around 22 weeks. But for about 2 weeks she's been moving a lot more or maybe I'm just actually starting to feel her. And I'm 20 weeks. Some days I have to concentrate really hard to feel her though. It sucks /: but her movements are so strong now!! Better late than never I suppose
I have an anterior placenta and thank The Lord!!! I don't even look preggers and I'm over 5 months. Plus, I like feeling the gentle pokes rather than kicks as I gradually get used to all of this. Lol Im just so grateful the baby is healthy...and that I can still fit my regular clothes lol
You have no worries! I have an anterior placenta and was told the same thing..
I felt the baby kick around 23 weeks constantly!! Now that I'm almost 29 weeks I feel him all throughout the day and depending on his position I can touch my belly and feel him kicking!! Hang in there :))
My placenta was low lying at 24 weeks so we wanted it to move up and now it's anterior but I wouldn't have even known it was anterior for the fact that I told her I had felt movement but not as strong. She said it was because of where the placenta is. I'm 28 weeks now and feel her more some days but I enjoyed watching my son poke out of my belly when I was pregnant with him.
Kennah12: you felt the kicks at 22weeks with an anterior placenta? That would be nice!
Juliedalton: I completely agree, I was disappointed to hear the news that I won't feel the kick :(
I'm still hopeful that I'll feel something later. Hope you get some good kicks in too before your due date.
Thank you! I can't wait to feel him kick :)
Congrats to you too!
just reading through my pregnancy notes and it turns out I have an anterior placenta. It was nice of them to mention that at my scan.
