Me: well that's not a nice thing to say, you know that God tells us to love one another even our enemy? That means if someone does something bad to us we need to learn how to forgive even if it's hard to. But hate is a strong word.

Matteo: so does batman have to "love" the joker?

So here I go trying to explain that if the Joker doesn't stop doing bad things then batman needs to stay away but still forgive the joker. It doesn't mean they'll be friends but they can't have hate towards each other.
