For those who was induced, You went to your 38 week appointment and they told you ? So you won't have a 39 week appointment. So in other words next Friday I go for my 38 week appointment will I leave knowing what day that next week I'll be getting induced ?

Yeah at my 36 week appointment I was at a 3 and she told me that she doesn't think I'll make it to my due date. And that at my 38 appointment she will check me and we will go from there @mommytoprincessmckenzie

At my 37 week appt they asked me if I wanted to be induced at 39. And I said yeah. But I started having contractions so I went in and I was 2 cm dilated so they had me walk for two hours and I got to a 3 and they admitted me and induced me then. I was 38 weeks.

I went to my 38 week appointment they told me to go to the hospital I got induced the next day. Depends on your fluid and your blood pressure and protein in your tribe

@zayzay101, I've worked at an obgyn & I've never heard of a lady going into the office & being told exactly when they will be induced. That only happens when they have had a c section before & then will have another one, since they have to have that planned months before it happens. But regular induction you're not told exactly what day seeing doctors don't know what the hospital has available unless they talked about it last visit & say they would schedule it.

Not usually. Usually they will give you an estimate of what day they'd like it to be but then the nurse has to call to set it up to even make sure they have that day open at the time. Hospitals only have certain amount of space for inductions because they have to leave a certain amount of bed open for woman who naturally go into labor. The nurse will schedule it & then call with all the info.

Eeek went to the dr and I am almost a 1... never really dialated early with the other two... so I got a little excited. She said the baby is measuring at around 38 weeks 😱so when I go next week I am going to ask about inducing.
for you mommy's asking 39 weeks is the NATIONWIDE standard for induction you can ask to be induced at 39 weeks if B makes it to 39 weeks I will be induced
Anyone have any luck with getting a membrane sweep done? I am going to ask for one next week at my 38 week appointment (that's the first week they'll start to do it) also, hoping it may slowly work before getting induced the following week due to gestational diabetes. Thanks!
So I’ve noticed being on this app a lot of women go into labor around 35-38 weeks.. or induced. I have a feeling I’m going to be in thoses weeks but just curious how many of you have made 40+ weeks??
How do you know if you are dilated? Does your water have to break so you can be dilated? I'm 38 weeks and I still don't feel labor stuff lol

Usually the only time you get the exact date is if its within a few days of your appointment. So if you make it to 39 weeks, they'll probably make it for a few days later. with my oldest son they induced me 4 days later and my baby I just had I was admitted right then and induced. @zayzay101
