Ladies i need some advice I came today from the hospital breast feeding excellent but one thing nipples so sore I bought similac milk for the baby is it ok? Or not i thought I was capable of just doing breast but it's hard 😕
I breastfed my son full time for the first 6 months and do plan on the same with my daughter. It hurts to begin with but you can do it. It's a mind set it can be frustrating at times. Don't give up and supplementing formula can confuse the baby as well. Praying that it gets easier for you.
I wanted to breast feed so bad. I couldn't do it. which long run worked out for me because she's lactose intolerant. but pretty much since day 1 my baby has been on Gerber formula and she's 10000000% healthy
I did both from start breast and fomula just make sure your breastfeeding or pumping cause your milk supply will dry up .....try nipple cream it should help too
I promise it gets easier .. I found trying different positions rotated how my babies mouth landed on my nipple each feeding and it helped with the soreness
Thanks @mmam91 I'm like so worried 😥 first time mom and I its just me and my husband no family near us that I could ask anything
you also don't really want to give your baby a bottle this soon if you want to exclusively breastfeed. bottles are easier for babies to drink out of and they will start to prefer the nipples from a bottle because it's less work rather than your own nipples. this is what a lactation consultant told me when I was at the hospital. hope this helps:)
formula isn't necessarily bad, but breast is best lol don't give up just yet. you and ur baby have to both learn how to breastfeed. my daughter is 2 months old now and the first week or so was definitely a challenge, but I didn't give up and now everything is great!
Thanks so much @bugmama @mami203
