Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared lol
Oh wow still getting milk. I loved breastfeeding xx I will probably try it with next one for first month so they get that white goodness before the milks comes through then probably go over to formuler. Will see how it goes don't want my LO feeling left out or anything so will see how it goes x always here menu have any questions
@tashacoombes89, yeah oh wow, latching on for comfort 🙈🤦🏽♀️ yeah I remember because my boobs filled up and started getting milk ducts for about a week but my dr told me if I’m not breast feeding to cover my nipples continuously until milk stops and even though it did, I still get small bits of dry milk even from this day 🤦🏽♀️ but I do have to kind of squeeze my nipple to see if 🤦🏽♀️
@leanne2016 nah hun I had to stop BF cause they are only ment to latch on for 1hr tops and he was latching on for 2hrs ide put him to sleep and sitting 10 mins he was hungry again. All in all he would latch upto 4 hrs and still be hungry, boobs where still full. So he was using it as comfort and not feeding off of me so he lost little weight. Mother in law adviced me to stop as she BF too. So after about 3-4 weeks I had to stop for him xx I loved it. Will try it with the next.
I used to express it to as other half wanted to feed bubs. But I found expressing hurts alot more then BF. Is good too express as u will find your boobs will fill up.
@tashacoombes89, did u stop bf because of him getting older?? Or for other reasons
Great feeding is amazing. I done it with my little one. I was devastated but relieved at the same time. You with leak alot. I leaked at night mostly and my god when your boobs are full they hurt. My LO was finding more for comfort then feeding he would latch for around 2-4hrs then come away and he would cry. So he was using my boobs like a dummy (even though he wouldn't take to a dummy) but had to stop BF. I was devastated but relieved too in a wired way lol. Defentily try breast feeding it is honestly amazing bonding with ya LO.
@abbiehowe8, ok great thanks hun, I’ll definitely order some bras for breast feeding as I think that was the issue with the milk ducts my bras wasn’t good for breast feeding so milk couldn’t flow out 🙈
@abbiehowe8, thanks hun could u send me a message of everything I’ll need for breast feeding like pads and what bras to get if they’re is special ones
@abbiehowe8, thanks hun I guess I’ll make sure I start buying breast pads also, I think I didn’t wear the best of bras when I tried to breast feed what bras are good?? As I thinking we’re the usually cheap padded ones 🙈 and I literally had loads of milk ducts I must of had 5 in both breast but I tried to breast feed once’s and I think my breast keeped producing milk and it was trapped due to my bra
@mariapb, 😂😂😂😂 this is going to be an exciting experience @abbiehowe8, I think I need to make sure I stay in contact with u both once I give birth.. you need to push me to breast feed 🤦🏽♀️ or try to as i usually give up to easily so hopefully u women will be here in February
@leanne2016, hot shower is your best friend when your boobs are about to explode. The hot water running and the phantom crying that I hear EVERY time I have a shower works wonders for getting the milk flowing! 😂
@abbiehowe8, thanks hun did u get milk ducts at all??
@mrsmowmow, yes I’m gonna try my best and try and go to one they’re usually free ain’t they well I think they usually do it in the clinic
@abbiehowe8, that’s great, did u get milk ducts at first? and do they usually go after a while once u get the hang of the feeding
@abbiehowe8, ok great, that what I wanted to know just incase I get too much milk and I don’t end up pumping and she’s not due a feed for another hour or so 🤦🏽♀️ lol don’t want my boob to explode
@mariapb, ok great thanks it’s just the milk ducts that scare me 🤦🏽♀️
@mrsmowmow, I could imagine yes that’s the issue the driving part 🤦🏽♀️ I guess until she starts eating finger food and solids I’ll have to bf on demand but it’s the milk ducts that scare the hell out of me 🤦🏽♀️ had it with my youngest as I tried once but gave up the same night 🙈🙈 and I though I had cancer 🤦🏽♀️
@leanne2016, yes they recommend not pumping for at least the first 6 weeks. It can cause an over supply. Put baby on your boob as often as possible in the first few weeks, that helps regulate your supply. As long as they’re gaining weight and having enough wet nappies you know they’re getting enough.
@mariapb, thanks hun I’m gonna try and not express as it can mess up with the milk apparently 🤦🏽♀️
@abbiehowe8, also it’s all the how do You know his getting enough milk ect 🤦🏽♀️
You’ll probably experience a little bit of pain in the beginning as your nipples toughen up. Put some breastmilk on your nipples after each feed and let them air dry, it really helps. Also some nipple cream. Tummy to mummy is a golden breastfeeding rule and chin first is another. Look on YouTube for latches, to help you out. I never really responded to a pump so barely use one, but if it’s sore your flange is the wrong size. The first few weeks are tough but it really does get easier.
@abbiehowe8, also what if u don’t produce a lot??? I’ve been reading a lot on breast feeding the more the baby latch’s the more milk u get right???
@abbiehowe8, thanks hun, so what do u do if you produce way too much milk for 1 feed??? Would u just pump it all out or hand take it out and waste and wait for when he needs another feed?? Or would u just leave it till he wants another feed...
My breast are heavy and full with milk but when I squeeze nothing comes out and when I try to pump nothing is pumped into the breast pump its like I have milk but its stuck and wont come out...any tips or help on this.. i really would like to breastfeed my daughter....
Is breastfeeding the same as bottle feeding but with breast milk? Like pumping out breast milk and bottle feeding it to baby?

took me 10 minutes to pump this from both breast after feeding Ethan for 25 minutes. My milk supply is going crazy yesterday I pumped 8 bottles my milk stash is going to be great
Anyone just breast pumping and bottle feeding their milk?
so my husband wants to feed are baby but the thing is that I will be breastfeeding so idk how it would work. he was thinking that when he wants to feed him he would give him formula but I just want my baby to have breast milk. so then he said why don't you pump your milk out and I'll feed it to him and i thought that would be the best thing but then I'm scared that my baby will get use to the bottle. I need help idk what to do because my husband really wants to feed him :/ and we need to come up...
@tashacoombes89, thanks hun x
