My 2nd baby is due November 26st and my son's 4nd birthday is August 13, all of our family and friends live out of state, so i thought the best thing to do would be to combine both the birthday party and baby shower together, plus that way my son wont get too jealous when not all the presents are for him .... but how do i combine the two?? plus i really wanted to take my son somewhere for his birthday but with everyone out of state i dont even know who would come or if i would be able to come up with more than like 2 kids to be there. i have no good ideas and need some advice!! aarrgh

@nanii1216, I'm doing my sons 2nd birthday party and my newborns baby shower the same day. I'm due a week after he turns two in September so I'm doing it the second week of September. I suggest doing a theme that would incorporate both that's appropriate. Or just do colors. My sons theme is Daniel tiger for his Bday but my newborns theme is Dr Seuss it would look hideous to combine both lol so I'm doing sea turtles with the colors blue green and white. Turtles mean a lot to me and my hubby that's why I picked it. And then if you want to do a little something separately for your 4 year old take him and a few friends or family to wherever he would want to go. I'm still doing a little something for my 2 year old on his actual birthday but won't be much since I'll be 39w pregnant at that time. Hope I helped 😊

My best friend had a baby shower/birthday party combined for her first son and second pregnancy and it actually worked really well. She didn't put a whole lot of baby shower planning/decorations into it and made it more birthday party feel, but everyone knew it was a baby shower so they brought presents and she opened them after her son opened his. @nanii1216

You could take your son and a friend or two (maybe a cousin if they can) on a trip for his birthday weekend, or even just a day trip to the zoo or somewhere. But then do a party for that everyone can attend. Present table for your son and the new baby, baby shower games that aren't all about baby so your son and his friends could play too.
