Had to hold my husband all night last night because people were setting off fireworks and my husband has PTSD. He felt so bad because he thought he was going to be able to handle them this year for baby girl but he can't. I told him it's fine I can take baby girl out side of the house and see them.
My hubby had to do the same thing for me last night, your husband isn't alone. I wish there was a cure for this. I hope he is okay and I'm here to talk.
I feel for you girl. My husband is the same way... An Afghanistan veteran and he jumps and looks petrified at every boom he hears. 😞
I am so sorry. I have seen the effects as well on my friends and family it can be so difficult.
thank you ladies that means alot thank your spouses for us as well. I hope everyone hasa safe night tonight.
Oh no ): I'm glad he doesn't have serious episodes from them though (from what I'm gathering, I apologize if I'm wrong).
We are going out tonight for the first time since mine has been back from Afghanistan. He hates fireworks now because of being there 😞 I'm proud of him for going out tonight though
😞 people all around us outside of base were shooting some all night long. We had to turn a tv on and up loud to help him not hear it. I'm sure today/tonight is going to be worse surrounding the base.
this breaks my heart. I'm so sorry and please tell him thank him for his service from my family && I .
sorry you have to deal with that but your a awesome wife for being understanding.
@mlgh92, aww thank you so much
