Not baby related but what's everyone's opinions on leaving and staying in the EU, I'm voting later but still not 100%…

im not voting sure the government will do wat they want

so i used to live in switzerland back a few months ago(lived there all my childhood) and yes it is a great country with great economics etc. but they'vr been doing this since always.. in the state that the uk is at the moment with going out it would be in massive dept, workers would get less payed and who knows how the rules would end up. people forget switzerland is a great country but they always had their rules like this since years and cmon.. u know how much u get monthly payed in switzerland minimum wage? 4000 a month.. things are well expensive there aswell.. i doupt uk wages would rise that much. but everyone has its opinion after all. but people should seriously stop comparing it to switzerland as their 2 complitly doferent countries.. x

For no reason though, if turkey join the European Union then they have to abide by the same laws as the rest of us do, there for surely making them less of a threat?

Yeah its a bad thing really! Other countrys just want us to stay so we can help babysit them. Parties say to use awful tactics to get people to vote such as" would you rather your country put money in to going out of the eu or would you rather it go in to the nhs" they cant do that to people its manipulating people in to voting in to what they want. I went in to a shop not so long ago and their was a children's cancer charity asking everyone to put some money in. She asked me saying would you give money for children's cancer research and i said no and she said children will go with out because you haven't gave money. How do you think it will make you feel? Guilty for not giving something. But they shouldn't make you feel like that. Xx

Like I said @abbi_ I'm not sure how true that is but if it is true then it's ridiculous because a lot of people don't know that so I agree it probably is fixed anyway xx

If that's true @briony1994 then that's ridiculous! That shows that it is fixed. People don't need to vote but the government are twats and are deciding to vote if you don't want to. I'm not 'registered' as such. I got a letter asking to be registered but I didn't send the form off xxx

To be fair what ever reason to leave or stay you find is valid, so some people are choosing to stay just so that we won't have to buy visas to go to Spain haha, access to other countries becomes hard! Just find a point that Benifits or affects you and work from there xx

I'm with @abbi_ I really don't understand things enough to vote tbh as naughty as it is coz it will effect us and our children and probably their children too but they will do as they please anyway and how they can say this is definitely going to happen if we stay or leave I don't no because no can predict the future xx

It's all so confusing and it's hard to trust the people in charge which makes it even worse for people to decide what to do but I hadn't even thought about those points @sommerwills123 xx

Too be fair no one knows what will happen if we leave, that's the biggest pro and con. It could be horrible and we could end up in massive recession,or it could work out brilliantly. But the EU laws are something to look at, so whilst we stay in the eu, our government has to abide by equal pay act, maternity rights, ability to take sick of your child is ill, but if we leave, there's nothing saying that the people in power won't change these laws, but nothing to say they will either :)

It's all so confusing to me!! @abbi_ apparently if you don't vote but are registered then they will take that you vote to remain, not sure how true this is tho xx

@winterbaby95, yeah we'd need the other countries to agree and we'd have to have another referendum in the UK to see if people wanted to rejoin xx

I'm not voting haha.. I'm too confused with the pros and cons. People have explained it to me and I just get completely confused. Like @charlottegilbert says, they won't listen to our votes, they'll do whatever x

Tbh all i know that places that are their own independent country's are the best ones. People have to work to get in. Not to be let in willy nilly. Switzerland is in Europe and its not in the eu and its honestly one of the best places you will ever go. Yes it will take time to get to Britain in to a good state but in the long run it will be worth it. We will be independent we wont have other country's relying on us nor we will be able to rely on them xxx

deffo @winterbaby95. I'm a third generation immigrant, my grandparents are Italian and came over during the war! the government are bar stools. I try not to think about it really cos they try to make put we have a say in how the country is run but we don't. like -'vote for us we won't increase student fees' votes in and low and behold student fees go up to 9,000. ooooh I need a brew now hahaha

@mich77 I find people that make the decision based on immigration silly!! Like I am pretty sure all of our ancestors are immigrants! That travelled over here many years ago..xxx They have stopped funding health care courses now! Nursing..midwifery etc! This is the last year they are funding it! xx

If you're unsure, vote remain. We can potentially have another vote in years to come to leave but if we all vote leave and it all goes wrong there's no way back in xx

@briony1994 It is hard to say what will happen...I'm honestly not a political person...but I am kind of comfortable with the way things are currently...its not the best...but I just think what if we do go out..could things change drastically? Will prices go up? What about benefits..housing? Extra help that some people do need? I just think whatever the reason for being in and out..I just hope it isnt a selfish thing. I am honestly nervous about what our goverment will do if we are on our own?? 😨 xx

I know @briony1994, made me chuckle. I'm voting in. it drives me insane that people are using immigration as their deciding factor when the immigrants that come in are from outside the EU anyway. also there will still be illegal immigrants regardless of us being involved with the EU and free movement so surely we are better dealing with this as a collective rather than alone. I also worry about how we will sustain our economy....we after all have no industry anymore and although we will still be able to trade how we will we make our money? I've got a funny feeling the government will penalise us through higher cost of living, higher taxes etc. They will not put money into the NHS if we leave, why would they? If you look into it the government are selling off the NHS behind our backs. pharmacy went not so long ago, dermatology was up for tender, the health visiting service is also up for tender in March. I could go on but it's only my opinion. I don't think anyone knows what will happen until it does.....I'm just not feeling that it's going to be as fabulous as people think if we leave. I hate politics. it's just a bunch of rich boys who don't live in the real world... arguing

Vote out! Switerland is out of the eu and its one of the best places in the world and one of the richest. Would be better to be an independent place to live. Xx

This is why I need lots of advice and opinions because I know it's going to affect us and our children the most but i don't fully understand it all and what the pros and cons are especially because every time I research it they all use words that I don't understand, im sure they sometimes do that on purpose tho lol @winterbaby95 xx

Hmm well there's pros and cons to both I believe :) I think whatever we vote..the government does it based on what they think :) But just remember..whatever your decision it will impact you..and future generations...if we leave..and decide to go back in again..we will need the approval of about 27 countries... hmm so it is a tough decision..I honestly dont have idea what to do..but I think I am gearing towards in...I'm just anxious about what it will mean if we do end up out...Xx
