Any breastfeeding mom's who went to work as soon as they got the okay and continued to breastfeed? This is my first baby and apparently my husband can't make the decision to better hisself for our family. October is soon approaching and we can't even make through the month without financial help. we have $25 left out of his paycheck. He gets paid once a month and it's not enough. He refuses to try and better himself because it's not what he wants to do. I am graduating this summer in Accounting and Office Systems, so I will be going to find work as soon as I get the okay. How do you continue to breastfeed a newborn and work? I never thought we would be in this situation but yet again he has put me in between a rock and hardplace. If that means I have to miss some of my baby girl growing up to make sure she has everything her little heart will need so be it. I will not make her suffer and go without, because her father can't get his crap together. Help please.

Thank you. I really want to breastfeed and wanted to be able to stand by my decision. I'm just not sure how it all works yet with having to have someone watch your newborn.

I pump for every feeding I miss while at work. I also started pumping right after birth to get a stash for when I had to return. It's hard but worth it.
