Have you looked into amber necklaces ?

I would definitely buy some teethers. They sell this thing at Wal-Mart where you can put bananas and other fruits in this pouch (looks like a pacifier) and freeze it for baby to chew on without choking. you could also use ice or frozen breast milk. That thing was a life saver when my son was teething. if you can't find it just wet a wash cloth and put it in the freezer for baby to chew on.

Ugh sounds like a leap 5 problem! Melody would only nurse for a few minutes at a time unless she was ready to sleep and then she would calm down FINALLY....I thought she was trying to wean but she went back to normal in a couple weeks and was still peeing enough so I tried not to worry much...I've tried the teething necklaces and it helped for a while then she lost interest lol it's worth a try, though!!!!!
