I know what I was meaning to ask y'all . Is it true that at the age of one your baby would have to switch to sippy cups because of their teeth rotting out?
The nurse told me I would have to stop Carmen from drinking out of bottles since she's has been switched to whole milk because it will start rotting out her teeth.🤔 Help me understand because either way wouldn't the whole milk still be in her mouth unless you brush her teeth ?
@deepsoul0490 😂😂😂😂😂they sure would! And lemme search my bed for the cup lmbo
@vicky810., same hereee lol people clap and she dances she looovessss music don’t matter what kind lol they would get along great hahaha oh and the less words the better lol mine is repeating everything she’s super nosey 😂 also can u send me a pic of the sippy cup u found for ur babygirl?
@deepsoul0490 Girl yessss !!! Thank u same to your beauty too 🤗 but girl Carmen is doing the same thing too but not saying many words she just say mama and dada lol and she loves music any kinda music lol I can just start Literately B boxing and she starts to try to do the toosie roll 🤣🤣
@vicky810., aww mine turned one on the 27th :) happy belated birthday to your October baby :) it’s amazing how much they start doing literally right after they turn one 🤦🏻♀️ mine is trying to sing she’s hilarious she’s walking and saying words and I️ just wanna cry lol
I jsut realized our girls are the same age lol when did yours turn 1?
@vicky810., yw my babygirl has a issue with regular milk so almond milk has been great for her and that way i dont have to worry about all that sugar lol also if u don’t mind me asking which sippy cup did u get? I’m having trouble
Finding a good one for her
@deepsoul0490 oh heck yeah! Cool thank u ... i did get her some Transitional cups too but i will Definitely try the unsweetened almond milk
My daughters doctor told me the same thing to stop bottles completely i havent done it yet i have to find a sippy cup for her... but what I do I️ and her doctor said that was fine too was i give her unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Before bed so that was there’s no sugar and i brush her teeth every night and morning ... Incase u wanna try that out :)
@vicky810. All you can do is try to replace both of them (the cup & the water) and it’s definitely easier to do it sooner than later. My son will be 5 next month & while I had no problem taking away bottles (AVENT made sippy cups almost identical to his bottles to use at first), he still wants milk or heavily watered-down juice at night. He goes to the dentist at least & I’m lucky he has good teeth, but it’s the one thing I wasn’t strict on early & I wish I was! Good luck!
@hamccright77 she will not go to sleep without milk or that formula
@hamccright77 okay cool , I don't think she will want the water . So what else could I do? Maybe buy formula till transition is complete
I work in the dental field and baby bottle tooth decay is a real thing. It’s caused by children being put to bed with milk (which has sugar in it) or juice. Those items sit on the babies teeth and cause decay to start forming. There’s a reason so many children have those silver teeth (now they are doing the fake baby tooth colored ones so the kids don’t get teased to much.) As a child gets old put them to bed with a bit of water after you brush their teeth as water has no sugar and won’t cause the decay.
Can you get them from Walmart or will I have to order@virgomama94
@virgomama94 just maybe lol but I doubt it because she was explaining to me how she told her sister the same thing years ago and they ended up putting together money to get her nephew's teeth capped .. but thank you I will surely look into that 😺😺😺
They have transitioning cups which make it a lot easier. It's like the same material as a bottle nipple just shaped a little more like a sippy cup.
@tasticmel I gotcha!! Wonder why the nurse didn't say that? Instead she just said basically stop cold turkey off the bottle and that other stuff
@kkmamax3 yep, she was .😹😹 I probably should just call her doctor tomorrow and ask because it doesn't make any sense
Their more worried about babies going to bed with a bottle and having milk sit in their mouth over night. I wouldn’t worry about it. As long as your brushing your kids teeth regularly I don’t see a problem with it. My son has been off the bottle but he does get a small sippy cup of milk right before bed.
You might wanna try switching off the bottle anyway and they only get a little water before bed. The milk will sit in their mouth
True , mainly putting them to bed with a milk bottle
Was she an older nurse? My husbands grandma told me the same thing about my oldest. And I said the same thing you did 🙃 I ended up switching her anyway.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
3RD UPDATE: What would you do?
Ok, so we have these new neighbors they have been there renting the house 2 doors down for about 3 months or so. They have a 2 year old boy, he just turned two. They have asked me to babysit him on multiple occasions, just so happens I've been busy each time. In my mind, they don't know me or anything about me. Barely know my name and they want me to watch their kid because they see I have kids and stay home. Apparently they haven't had any luck with the babysitt...
Has anyone else thought of this nonsense with her being weird, not having consistent information etc. as seeming a whole lot like the beginning of Glee with the fake pregnancy?!
Is orajel the only thing you mommas use for teething? Lol cause my mom told me when she didn't have any, that she would rub a lil tequila in my gums. Lol I told her now I know who to blame for loving liquor lol
@deepsoul0490 😂😂😂😂😂they sure would! And lemme search my bed for the cup lmbo
