Ladies I have a major abscess tooth, I went to the only dentist that accepts my Medicaid with an approved note from my dr to get teeth work done an they refuse to work on me until after the baby is born bc they believe it's to dangerous being so far along as I am so my dr prescribed me an antibiotic witch today makes the 6th day I have been on it still seems to not be working my tooth is hurting so bad like I'm gonna go crazy that's how bad the pain is, I was told I can take Tylenol and orajel and neither helps the pain I'm 37 weeks and was wondering has anyone else dr let them take anything else for pain that was safe for baby besides Tylenol?
@_kmoss.madisonsmommy_, does that really help with the pain? At this point I will do anything for the pain that is safe for the baby. I've tried calling my dr but still have yet to get a call back they take their sweet time .
it cleans out the infection and if you numb your gums with the extra strength oralgel you should be feeling relief. also, wrap ice in a towel or rag and put it on the swollen area, or whichever side your hurting on. it should numb it on the outside or atleast freeze the nerves in your face so it doesn't get blood flow and keeps hurting. and you can also crush Tylenol and put it directly on your tooth. if you weren't pregnant, I would tell you to use Jack Daniels whiskey but, don't think that's a good idea lol @kirsten92
