this decision is very personal between you and your husband, my z mother in law tried that shit when i had my 1st ,she said something like oh in my country the father's mom needs to be in the delivery room&I reassured her Not happening in this country/delivery she and her son are very happy together I'll leave it at that far away

@lynna0909, thank u were doing good minus the all the fighting with my mother in law and yea the day we told her I was pregnant that that it was only two ppl back there and she had her 14 year old daughter with her anyway she wouldn't even come back to see him after my mom left because I was breast feeding and I'm not comfortable feeding him in front of her or his mom and she got all mad because I didn't want his sister to come back there didn't even congratulate my husband he had to ask her to because she spent the whole time bitching they even said that they were there before my mom and that they should be back in the room with me when I wanted my mom she wanted me to kick my own mom out the the delivery room when she's been there for my first two kids and I wanted her there for my son after we got moved to recovery my mother in law wouldn't even speak to me nor look at me it's been crazy she even said my husband's treated her like crap when really it's been her doing it

I know exactly how you feel, only it's the opposite situation. it's my mom instead of his. this is our first baby and I want it to just be my fiance and I when I'm pushing our son out. I told my mom that I respect her decision to want to be there, and that I want her to be there before and after I have the baby but just while I'm pushing I want it to just be me and my fiance... she blew up. she has now disowned me and calls me horrible names and she is preventing my siblings from talking to me or talking about me. she told me she wants nothing to do with me or "IT" referring to my son! we told my fiances mom our plan and she was completely fine with it.
