is it weird that my son like to play with my daughters toys. I try to keep them separately but he still likes all her pink stuffed animals and cries when I take them away. ..ohhhh this is frustrating because he has his own toys
Any time I go to my dads my 2 year old son goes straight to my little sisters room (shes 6) and plays with her baby dolls and stuff. At this age they don't know the difference between boy and girl toys. he stole a baby doll from my little sister and carries it around our house and rocks it and pretends to feed it his brothers bottle. lol. He loves babies and doesn't realize that it a "girls" toy. Just remember he will be a dad one day so its not really a big deal if he wants to continue to play with them. Plus it will get him prepared for his baby sister!
yeah. it is a healthy thing. and it might be his way of coping with her absence.
my brother and I when we were kids we both played with barbies dolls he also had action figures he played with we grew up just fine he has two boys married. I sometimes liked the hot wheels toys because they did cool tricks and changed colors in water or sparked before they took them.off the market lol but was fun.
@mommagotbump16, it is. ..I guess I'll just leave him be and stop taking them away. he must be missing her because he only plays with them alot when she's gone. they have different father's and my daughter goes with her dad every weekend
oh yes, I've noticed how gentle he is with them and he even snuggles with my belly and says hi baby baby and gives the bump a kiss. ..I'm having another girl in September. I'm guessing he will be very protective of both sisters @sierranichols
my little girl doesnt like dolls and my youngest son likes playing with them. i think its ok for them to do that. plus my youngest son is so sweet to the baby dolls makes me feel better about having a baby.
So he likes the pink and purple toys that remind him of his big sis...I say it's sweet.
@littlemissrainesmommy, aww that's cute thanks for sharing. and yes he definitely adores her. she doesn't mind playing with him either so that's good
I did this when I was little.. I only ever wanted to play with my big Brothers toys. I hated the "girl toys" lol I think most younger siblings end up doing this lol especially if they adore their older sibling like I did haha lol
@ashsloan, yes that makes sense he loves her so much and follows his big sister around the house lol
@babes87101116, because boys shouldn't play with pink and purple stuffed dolls
At that age it's probably the colors or texture of hers, or just the fact that they are hers and he looks up to her, regardless it's not weird and he just thinks since they're all toys he can play with them. No big deal
@ashsloan, he plays with both ..I just noticed that he likes hers too
well he still is pretty young to know better im sure when he gets older he will move on to other stuff he would like better
my daughter is 10 @msvanessa27 he's just 2
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you ...
Why are y’all surprised I give my son donuts they are good and it’s not like he gets them everyday
Racial nickname
I sometimes call my lo monkey. To me he looks like a little monkey. My so says it's racist and offensive. What do you think?
Idk if this is a little to harsh but my stepson is 2 and 7 months now the time outs are not working so I stepped it up a little and decided to take all toys away and tv away for whatever he has left of the day till bed time. Gets it taken for hitting us or throwing toys or kicking... He kicked me right in the mouth last night so he didn't get his toys till after nap and no cartoons and thats around 4pm is this to much??
