Should You Cut Your Infant's Hair? Pros and Cons

Do what you think is best :) my daughter started to lose hair at 3 months and it was looking really bad so 2 weeks ago I took her to get shaved and her hair is growing back so quick. She's six months and she's the cutest baby ever lol her hair is growing evenly too which is really good and she was born with a shit load of hair too! Baby hair just tends to fall out but hey you do what you think is best

my daughter had like a old man's comb over when she was born so at 6 months we shaved it off her hair is coming in so good now and everywhere an nice an thick. worked for us

she's Mexican/white and has hair EVERYWHERE. she has the hairiest ears I've ever seen and already has that little mustache lol.

I wouldn't do it, that's an old wive's tale that it will grow back thicker. Their hair naturally is softer when they are young and as they get older the "baby hair" falls out and more hair grows back! Shaving it won't make this process go faster, it'll just make your baby bald for a while instead of having that beautiful soft duckling hair lol

My baby is 2 months and I won't cut her hair until she's old enough to actually tell me she wants it cut. of course I'll do her bangs occasionally. but I won't shave her head right now. I just don't think I should. no point

Just the bangs if they get in the way of the face constantly

all my kids have so much hair when they are born but it eventually falls off 😢 I wouldn't cut it its and old wives tale

I don't think I will cut her hair(: I believe that there is no point. it's gonna grow back the exact same? just longer for it to grow this time. if layer in the future and her hair needs cutting i will.

I've never cut my daughter's hair I'm Mexican too and my family would tell me that I never listened to them . now her hair is beautiful!!

I don't believe in the whole cutting their hair. They did it to my cousin and it was pointless it look the same like it did before they cut it and it took her forever to grow it and it looked ugly.. My daughter had a bald spot when she was really tiny Like at 3m and she has a lot of hair now so I don't believe all that is necessary lol but each person they're own

Oh. and yes my baby girl was born with TONS of hair so I just don't see any reason to cut it when it's perfectly healthy and thick as it is.

My SO family is from Mexico too and that's what they believe in. but I've always thought that I shouldn't cut her hair. so I'm on the edge. And everyones telling me to because it'll be thicker. And idk what to do anymore

my husband's family is from Mexico and they believe in shaving the babies head lol I really don't want to cuz my baby was born with tons of hair and I can't imagine her bald lol BUT my niece who is 4 they did it to her and her hair is perfect ! it's full and thick ,completely straight and shiny so idk of it's because they shaved it but she has really good hair lol it makes sense just like when you shave your legs for the first time they usually come back thicker then how they originally were I just don't know about walking around with a bald baby lol but there are always hats of you choose to do it
