My son lukas had open heart surgery 8 months ago.
for everyone having to go through this, and it breaking your heart, IT GETS BETTER. they get better. they're going to pull through it. babies are the most tough fighters I've ever seen.

That's wonderful. I'm glad your son is happy and healthy :). If you don't mind me asking, why did he need the surgery?
She* sorry. and exactly! my son was smiling 3 hours after open heart, when he should have been sedated for days. and that's amazing! I'd love to see a picture of her!

it definitely does get better. I see so many women on here, sad and depressed about these things. it's a major surgery, BUT, babies are anazing.

he had 2 holes in his heart. and he had narrowing. and those two needed fixed. he still has hypoplastic left and a bicuspid aortic valve.
