Ugh. I've been stuck 3 times and they still can't find my vein. How hard is it? I completely show you where a good vein is and you manage to ruin it. I'm not a hard stick at all!! This is pissing me off..

They are trying to get an iv in. She just stuck me again and didn't get anything. This is not how my day is supposed to be. She said she's going to call anesthesia so they can do it. In my head I'm like maybe you should try a smaller needle but she's so adamant about using a damn 18 because she said anesthesia needs the bigger opening @mommagotbump16
Are they just sticking you for blood or trying to get an IV? @shevy41906
I went to the ER a while back and the lady was like 'oh, I hope I don't blow your vein haha.' She blew two veins and they had to do an IV in my hand

How long did you swaddle? Was it hard to break the habit of them needing to be swaddled to sleep? Do you swaddle during the day or only at night? Please tell me everything about swaddling!!!
The one thing they teach you with phlebotomy is not to fish for veins. So whyyyyy does everyone fish for my vein. Barely got any blood too.

@shevy41906, I work in day surgery, and unfortunately, she's right. They do need a bigger line for meds and fluids, plus for emergent situations. I'm sorry hon.
