I used a baby potty and once he got a little bigger I got one that sits on the actual toilet. if you look up on Google potty charts n rewards it helps a lot. You could even buy a baby potty that makes flushing sounds. You're very welcome

ok thank you so much @kaylareese26 I just wasn't sure if I'll be able to know when he is ready I've never potty trained a kid before. would it be easier to have him sit on the potty or buy one of those baby urinals that stick on the bathroom wall

I started potty training my oldest at 2 and he wasn't fully potty trained till 3, you will know when he's ready he will let you know also. When they are ready their ready. 😆 and sometimes boys are slower than girls. what you could is, when your ready get him a pull-up and have him sit on the potty every 30 mins. sometimes repetition will help.

Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. We've decided to start potty training our 22 month old since he can pull down his pants, we've thrown ourselves into it. Now the question is, can 22 month olds be manipulative 😳? This child is something else. If we're having him do something he doesn't want to do, like going down for a nap, he'll start saying potty, if we let him go, he just runs all over the place, I guess forgetting he wanted to use the potty 🤦🏿 ♀ Is this a thing? I just go get him and have him sit on the potty and I tell him, "if you say you want to use the potty, then you must use the potty." I feel like I should work on him not "telling lies." But idk what this behavior is. Can 22 month olds be manipulative, and a liar? Someone told me "he's intelligent to know that saying potty will get him out of something he doesn't want to do." I say... this some bull... 😑😒 Another thing, when I try to get him to look at me when I'm trying to tell him he did something wrong, he does not make eye contact. I get down on my knee in front of him, he looks away, I cup his chin with my hand to have him face me, or say "Nordo, look at mommy please," he averts his eyes... you guys 😓 somedays I feel like he's a sociopath 😬 I don't say that out loud though 😅 ugh, I know, I'm CRAZY, but man... what are the chances? lol

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
