Charlie is 18 months and quite clever with picking things up that he sees once!
I.e he rips toilet paper off pretends to wipe his bum then flush it 😂
I'm wanting to start to introduce him to the potty... but how do i do it?
I literally have no idea about potty training!!!! Help!!!
You could buy a potty for home and explain it's for wee's and poos. When changing his nappy see if he'll sit on it. Be really over the top and praise him if he does. Also when changing him, start asking him what's he done. Get him thinking about it a bit 😊
@jadeandscarlett Haha awww... that's so good!!
Ugh... also... I've had a bad wisdom tooth this past week too!!!
You need clove oil apprently it helps!!
It's such horrible pain isn't it.. my mouth has been so swollen it literally makes you realise what teething pain is like!!
Xx
@laurabump27 She is really good actually, she picks words up really quickly. I dont know where she gets it from haha xx
@jadeandscarlett hahaha how good is she with her language... Charlie would prob just say "cat" or somthing random next to it!
Xx
@noshinxoxo yeah that sounds a good idea!!...
Like I'm impressed he knows how the toilet scenario works, apart from the other day he tried to wipe my bottom!!😂🤔
I bought a basic potty a few months back and he was too.young and just sat in it and wanted pulling around the house.. but he's starting to get the concept of it being a place to sit and wipe his bum ha!
God.. that whole taking them ebery hour.. is that what your meant to do!?
He kicks off every time I change a nappy or get him dressed so that's gonna be a task!!
Xx
Scarlett has a potty, says wee wee when she sees it then pisses next to it 😂😫 xx
So I don't know for certain as I'm just in that stage with my little one. I remember with my brother and nephew they didn't even understand the concept of peeing in the toilet but my boy gets it, wants to do it, is so excited to flush lol. So I've started by just slowly introducing him to the toilet. Get one of those little seats that slip into the toilet. I made it fun like oooh would you like to go toilet and he's excited to be allowed to do something we do lol. And he goes nearly every time. Now I haven't started actually training, where you remember to take them every hour and maybe even take pants off. Because tbh that's too much for me rn. But I thought if he's got the idea slowly slowly we'll just transition into it rather than full on potty train. So when I notice he's maybe wanting to go no. 2 I ask him shall we try the toilet and most of the time he says yes and he goes. So I think that's a learning curve for him to actually go in the toilet, then wipe and flush and understand the process. Honestly I know if I tried I could go on from here and just do a week where I hardcore swap over the pants and take him every hour until he gets it that he needs to go before he gets the feeling. Buuuttttt like I said, I'm personally not in any rush for that. And since your boy is young to, I would just start by maybe before bathtime he can sit on the toilet, he can learn the process, he can go in and get excited to flush and wash his hands and get a sticker, just yaknow, ease in?
@laurabump27, good luck with it )) hope it works xx
@bluebluesky oh wow!! That's a good idea... because he knows how our toilet works and kind of what to do!!!
Xx
Never trained myself, but had 3 lil cousins growing near by 😂😂🤯 all of them were different in getting in to potty train
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Potty Training *Updated*
Why is there such a push to do it so early?
We've decided to start potty training our 22 month old since he can pull down his pants, we've thrown ourselves into it. Now the question is, can 22 month olds be manipulative 😳? This child is something else. If we're having him do something he doesn't want to do, like going down for a nap, he'll start saying potty, if we let him go, he just runs all over the place, I guess forgetting he wanted to use the potty 🤦🏿♀️ Is this a thing? I just go get him and have him sit on the potty and I tell him, "i...
