I highly recommend a trip to the er. i miscarried before, but I'm still glad I went in case there was something I could've done about it (there wasn't in my case), but if it's an infection or something like that, you have to go asap so it doesn't get worse and hurt the baby.... none of us are doctors, we can't tell you what's really happening, but in the worst case scenario, wouldn't you like to say that you did everything in your power?
then it's most likely just some discharge and maybe some sort of implantation bleeding. of it was tough that'd be a huge indicator that it would be a threatened miscarriage. i had tough looking ones each loss I had. but I'd call the er since you have no way up there. Just ask them and if they don't know they'll find someone in the er who does know and can tell you. but keep a good look on it. and wear a pad just Incase it happens again. if there's more brown than red, it's most likely old blood. Just make sure it isn't coming out in huge clumps or heavily. if it does. you may want to make sure you can find someone to take you to the er.
When I was faintly bleeding, I went to the er just in case and I was having a threatened miscarriage. So I was glad I went, so you should really go and get checked to make sure every thing is okay.
