I had a couple stitches and took a bath the day after my son was born at the hospital. it was my "me" time.

I was never told I couldn't bathe. I tore too with my first really bad and was stitched up. baths helped the constipation from the pain meds for some reason. It must be different Dr's and hospitals have different policies. I bet you could Google it and find out for sure.

i had a tearing with my first and wasn't told i couldn't take a bath...in fact they gave me a little bottle of water to wash there everytime i went to the bathroom. i even took a bath in the hospital

My OB said I could take a sitz bath but the nurse told me no baths, I'm going with the OB over the nurse lol. And it's been 2weeks for me also

I had 2nd degree trauma PLUS tearing. I was never told I couldn't take a bath. I was just told to watch what kinds of soap I use down there

It was. I'm going to do it again this time around. I'll be in the tub the next day.

When I had my daughter they had me in the tub the next day. I tore also. They (the nurses) made me an herbal bath. It was amazing......

its been three weeks for me and still told im not able to. I was told 6 weeks
