the ultrasound can give a weight approximation of 13 ounces up or down. so she could be 5 lbs or she could be smaller. Just keep your head up. They measured my Lil boy at 7 lbs 3 days prior to his birth at 35w3d and he was 7lb 4oz.

definitely! happy you feel better! we already have enough to stress over and them making you worry about something like that is dumb.

@momwife1316, oh I was crying I felt like I was doing something wrong that it's my fault then my parents told me the Drs were being dramatic and I'm doing fine and that she still has 4 weeks to pack on weight 😊

I agree I think its a little dramatic. I was never told to drink it and they knew my daughter was on the smaller side. they just said I was small so she would be too. she ended up being almost 7lbs. which isnt bad. but them making "an educated guess" on an unborn baby can be pretty inaccurate too. Don't stress :)

@terri17, yikes. Is that necessary? Well drink up darling, maybe that will happen. I was born at 38 weeks and was 5 lbs 4 oz. Everything was fine. I'm hoping that's what happens with my girls (just little) and your as well. ❤️

I don't think that's too underweight. Better safe than sorry right? It's ok. We're seeing a specialist now, so I have an ultrasound every week. They will measure and weigh them again in about a week and half to see if we've made progress. I bet you'll have a very beautiful petite baby!!! Nothing wrong with that!!
