Okay ladies, I've been in early labor for a FULL WEEK! Contractions every two minutes on the dot, but my cervix is stuck at 3cm! I haven't been able to keep anything down or sleep much at all if any. It's getting to the point that I'm fainting all the time and I'm so scared that'll hurt baby. I talked to the head of ob at the hospital today and he said to try castor oil. I told him about my concerns about baby pooping in utero and he said that's absolutely not true and it'll make me feel really shitty and get really sick, but at this point it'll probably be better than the constant contractions. Thoughts?

@eev, I know, so fast! Now starting to get stomach tightenings but not 100% certain if they are contractions but let's hope so.

My midwife told me to have 2 tbs of castor oil and mix it with vanilla ice cream and orange juice, said it might help induce labor. Just ate it like 30 minutes ago so idk if it'll work yet 😬

I wouldn't risk my baby's health or safety if it was me, momma.

Eat some really hot(spicy) food Go into labor and delivery and on each contraction make it seem unbearable. They shouldn't send you home if they see you are in a lot of pain. If anything they'll give you pitosin to speed it up

@emmajeremy2627, I've tried walking, sex, pineapple, bouncing on the birthing ball, jumping jacks, spicy food, brown sugar water, red raspberry leaf tea, primrose oil, pumping, nipple stimulation in every way I could find research wise, blowing up balloons, watching sad/funny movies, soaking in hot water, soaking in ice water, strong mints, chasing the dog around the yard, walking with one foot on the curb, lunges, scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees, Chinese food (even though I'm allergic and it makes me super sick), massages, visualization and literally EVERYTHING else I can find, which is the only reason I even mentioned it to him. He said that the studies that show baby pooping in utero are almost exclusively done on moms who are over 40 weeks and that the babies have an 80% higher chance of pooping after then anyway, making all studies inconclusive. I've read so much negative stuff on it though!

and if it doesn't work, you'll be pooping nonstop and throwing your brains up AND having contractions AND putting your baby at risk. if he didn't feel the need to medically induce you, there is absolutely NO reason he should have fed you the castor oil line

not true. your doc or ob is wrong. A baby can poo in the womb from that. Castor oil is very unsafe and dangerous.
You could try natural things like walking, sex, i believe its called red raspberry leaf tea that's suppose to help? Everyone will have their own opinion about that but it's not safe.
