Yea my boy is sick I think....I have to give him medicine and I think it's not agreeing with him....he has like a thick spit in his mouth and it's driving me crazy.....I just want him to get better......his father is always asking me if I am ok I'm like u sleep through his feedings his diapers his changing everything and u sleep at night I'm up every two and a half hours to do all of that....I don't sleep smh so I nap during the day like 9-12 between those hours.....and when I wake up he's in his phone and the baby is sleeping on his chest....he starts to cry and he is like here u go....it's driving me crazy.....the least u can do is change a diaper after I feed him....he just threw up in his face and the first thing he did was get up and wipe his own face instead of pick up his son and make sure he isn't choking smfh.....😢 I just can't deal it's soo much to deal with and for him to b here and damn near do nothing sucks

@disa_nicole, she is getting better, I really think it had something to do with the size of her mouth like the hospital said, bc now she's almost a month old and she does fine! Me being a zombie from lack of sleep lmao I lost my nipple shield for 2 days and I couldn't pump much bc it wasn't coming out, so I just latched her on and she ate like a pro lol so now if we are home and she's not screaming, I'll just feed her from the boob and save what I have pumped.. She's getting so big now!!

I have flat nipples too and I just pumped 5oz from one breast last night for the first time and he is 10 days old.....what I was told by my lactation consultant when I left the hospital is to squeeze ur nipple and areola and try to fit as much of it into the baby mouth as possible.....(try without squirting milk all on them loll that's the funny part for me) he's soo finicky it's hard to hold his head and have him latch and hold my nipple without gettin milk all over his face loll....once they make that smacking noise with their mouths feed em....the more she latches (even with the pain) the more your body will produce.....I noticed it over night.....I was supplementing in the beginning to make sure he ate Bc my boy lost 5oz within a week of birth and he also got a skin infection so I have been to already an overnight stay in the hospital 😢😢😢 the worse experience of my life to watch them stick him with a needle 3 times Bc they couldn't get a vein and they bruised his hands smfh......but don't worry u just need to have her latch as best u can every time exclusively and your body will automatically start producing more.....my breast fill everytime he makes his smacking noise with his mouth soo I change him to wake him up (he is usually wet ) soo he wakes up and then he eats every 2.5/3 hrs now before it was like every 4-5 if I was lucky for him to wake up and eat....it will get better just keep trying......(my son sucked the nipple guard right off soo I was shit out of luck as far as pain 😩) it gets better (mind u he is 11 days old today) 😍😁👶🏽💙

@meagansimone they didn't say my quick delivery had anything to do with my milk, they just said that's probably why she wouldn't eat and lost a lot of weight. & they just said its not normal to be able to pump as much as I was right after delivery and it wasn't yellow Like colostrum so idk.. But I'm pumping mostly but when she latches I let her

if you're only pumping, try power pumping, 15 on 10 off 10 on 10 offn10 on 10 off and do that every 2 to 3 hours.

Your LC sounds misinformed as well as your doctor. I had a quick delivery as well. When your placenta detaches is when your boy tells yor mil km to come. you won't leak it all during pregnancy. Are you only pumping?

@verobaby, yes I actually signed up for them to call me and see how I'm doing and give me advice if I need it so they call me like every 2 weeks I think and ask how it's going and if I have any questions and they just tell me I'm doing a good job and to keep at it... I'm taking fenugreek and more milk plus trying to get my supply up and it's helping some

have you talked to a lactation consultant. i recommend la leche league. sometimes they know more to help you

@verobaby my nipples are kinda flat so she has a hard time latching, the only way I can feed her with out pumping is if I have a shield on.. @meagansimone sorry lol I want to get ahead so that I have extra milk after she's ate, bc here lately I've had to pump just to feed her bc she's eating it as quickly as I can pump it lol when I first came home I had a good stock, I have almost 40 ounces in the freezer and my supply went down and she ate it all. and I'm pumping bc I was told to by my doctor.. When she was born, she had a lot of fluid on her stomach bc she had to be delivered really quickly, I almost had to have an emergency csection and it was making her feel really full so she wasn't eating she lost over a pound in 4 days so they told me to pump and try to bottle feed her, also my nipples are flat and with how little she was they said that her mouth was really small and that was also making it hard for her to latch bc she couldn't cover the whole areola like she needed to. And I had to pump bc when I had her, I didn't have colostrum anymore, the lactation nurse said I most likely leaked all my colostrum out during my pregnancy bc the first time I pumped she was a couple hours old and I pumped over an ounce.. She said i was already producing what they call transition milk, I was pumping 5 ounces from each breast by the time I left the hospital.. Before I had her I thought the same thing y'all are telling me, that I shouldn't pump until 6 weeks bc it can mess with my supply, but I had no choice if I wanted her to have my breastmilk... So here I am lol

your body is still getting used to producing milk & by pumping you'll confuse your body & it won't make what baby needs or too much which can also cause stomach problems for baby & pain for you.

I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. @verobaby is right, pumping now can cgive you and baby problems.

i saw your baby is 3 weeks old. wait until she is a little older i started to find time to pump around 6 weeks. my son would feed off one boob & be full so I'd pump the other side & store that. also if your daughter sleeps longer at night pump then. eventually you'll have an amazing suppy in your freezer.

Why do you need to get ahead? Diet won't help unless you're eating more oats, brewers yeast, flax seed.

Well I've changed my diet thinking maybe that could help? And I've been taking fenugreek and more milk plug... They have helped but I still can't get ahead.. 😞
