So my daughter was born with brain damage , because her umbilical cord was tightly wrapped around her neck and she was deprived of oxygen for 3 minutes . She's over 4 months old now and the doctors , along with early interventions , all say that she's developing excellently . They said you can't even tell that she has brain damage , she does everything normal . However , whenever she gets hurt she doesn't really cry . Like , you know when you have those moments when you accidentally bang the baby's head on stuff when you're carrying them lol . Stuff like that , she doesn't even cry . Just now , her dad had her sitting up against a pillow and she fell forward and hit her face on a controller on the bed . Like we HEARD her hit it , it was pretty hard . But she didn't cry at all , just acted like nothing happened . Did we just get lucky with a tough baby , or can this be part of her brain damage ?
lol awe:) well I would say she can definitely feel pain:) maybe she's just too tough haha!!! my son will fall on his head on the floor and won't cry unless I'm looking at him lol
@mommybump2016 yup she screameddd when she got her shots lol . She she definitely lets us know when she's hungry and upset . When Early Interventions evaluated her , they said she "definitely displays her little attitude clearly."
I swear my son is soooo clumsy especially since he's just learning to walk so he falls and bumps himself very often but never cries from a fall so I do think some kids have very tough skin... But in your case if you feel like it should be hurting her then I would check with your doctor no harm in asking
