I seriously love my mother in law and have never had an issue with her, but I just got a phone call from my husband because she is highly upset she didn't get a formal invitation to our gender reveal this weekend. We didn't send them out, she knew this. I told her weeks ago what was going on. Now his family members work and we don't know if they'll be able to come. I'd love for her to be there especially since she is paying for us to find out early, but nobody got an invite. What was I supposed to make some up just for them? I have over 30 people coming, he had six people to let know what was going on. But it's my fault she didn't know when things were, even though we confirmed things last weekend. Ugh.

Just send out invites through email. They're being childish honestly. My family doesn't do for invitations unless it's a wedding.

@mom47172, It's so frustrating. My mom is literally my best friend and she has been the one taking care of it all so I only asked him to remind his family. He comes from a tiny family while I have a massive family. I don't have the time to chase everyone around and make sure they remember when things are.

@bellahali, I don't even have any of their information. I asked him forever ago to talk to them and apparently he didn't. But what confuses me is that we literally had a discussion about everything last weekend. So I'm not sure how she could possibly not know.

That is frustrating, we have family like that. I have found that if there is that one person that wants the written invitation, I just grab a cheap card that is along the lines of whatever and hand write an invitation specifically for them. This way I am not spending a fortune on pointless invitation and postage.

Maybe just make her something special, maybe she wants a keepsake

@wannaboyplz, She told him the only thing she wanted was to be notified. I feel bad because I know that this is her first grandchild too, so I want her to be a part of everything. I have over 20 aunts and uncles and he only has two. She's told him that she is intimidated by the fact that I have such a huge family that wants to be there for it all too. I feel bad for her because I know she has anxiety, but I love my family and we are all extremely close so I want them there for things. She admitted that she backed off because she didn't want to seem too pushy, even though I've never felt that way about her. I just feel bad because I think she's embarrassed by everything and I want to talk to her about it but I don't want to make her any more uncomfortable.

@alexalexa, I think maybe if you just meet her for lunch or something or invite her to go window shopping and let her know you love her and that she is important, that all will be good and that it may not be needed to bring it up. just show her you love her and want her involved :)

@wannaboyplz, good idea. I think another thing she is having a hard time with is the fact that she doesn't have any daughters or sisters and every girl he was with before me was rude and wanted nothing to do with her. So I definitely think making it a point to meet up with her will make her feel better. Thanks!

need suggestions.... So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

My world stopped I was changing the laundry over and my husband went to use the restroom. Our 20 month was in the room with our 10 year old and climbed up on the bed and fell, face first, landing on her head. Our bed is three feet off the ground and our son said she was standing up, so roughly a five foot fall. I ran into the room and she was unresponsive. She didn't take her first breath for 45 seconds. Her eyes were rolled in the back of her head and her entire body was limp. I lost it. I was screaming for my husband to call 911 and was running around looking for my phone. I was screaming to God to protect my baby who laid lifeless in my arms, aside from shallow breaths. I called 911 and was panicking for them to send someone ASAP. My first time ever needing an ambulance and we moved from having a fire station about a football field away to the boonies where we have one neighbor. I didn't know how long it would take for them to get here.
