Does anybody baby sleep on their stomach? Like a young baby?
Why isn't it safe? I know about the whole SIDS but I still don't understand why it's not safe for them. My baby is 4 weeks and tonight was my first night putting her on her tummy and she's sleeping much better on her tummy than she does on her back.

Because they don't know how to make sure they have room to breathe. They learn that a little later on around 4-5 months

I let my baby sleep on his back now but he is almost 4 months. I started when he was a little over 2 months though. I just never got any sleep watching him like a hawk lol

Oh okay. So I shouldn't let her sleep through the night like this? Just like a nap or something? @arians_mommy.

yeah definitely only do that for nap time when she's supervised cause they can easily suffocate

He sleeps so much better that way! Now that he's older I feel a little better. I just keep blankets and pillows and stuff away from his sleeping space

She only sleeps good when she's on me! Like she doesn't like sleeping by herself at all. Or she'll sleep good when she knows I'm beside her. She won't sleep in her crib or the bassinet that I had for her. @kartersmommy0917

My daughter refused to sleep any other way but on her belly, she'll be a year old in a week and still sleeps that way. I lost so many hours of sleep watching her sleep when she was really little, but I always kept her in her crib with just a fitted sheet and no blanket/stuffed animals and made sure her head was turned. I felt more comfortable when she could move her head on her own though, like now. Around 4 months she could move her head fine and I didn't worry as much.

For my baby to be only 4 weeks, she moves her head well too! I'm just so scared to let her sleep through the night on her tummy. A friend of mine told me that was the only way her daughter would sleep also. @their.bomb.ass.mom

my baby is 15 wks today and every since he was born i always let him sleep on his stomach.at first i would turn him from stomach to his sides every nap..when he was in nicu, they did the same..we co- sleep.so he is under the covers with me,but the covers are half-way up his body.i never really understood sleeping on the back..my baby has reflux.and i never know when he is going to vomit..ive seen him choke on his back..i still keep an eye on him tho.

it's because if they gets their head turned down they might not have the strength or know how to turn it back and could suffocate I'd try on the side
