Moms, how do you all feel about your whole family being at the actual birth? My family wants to witness it, but frankly…

yeah I wish my fiance did too! lol he still hasn't told his family... like I know it'll hurt their feelings for a little while, but making sure my labor and delivery is as stress free as possible on me and my little girl is more important.

I'm refusing ANY visitors before and after labor... I dont need that stress and I've told all of my family that they are not welcome in my hospital room period so itd be pointless to even come to the hospital.

Tell your nurses that you don't want them in there. They're happy to be the bad guys and will happily take the blame. Mine did!

Only have those that will truly support you in the room with you. Everyone else should go home and wait til the next day to see you. You need time just you, the baby and dad. Get your rest while you can, they can wait :)

:( maybe give them a YouTube video of child birth? Or if you feel like it wouldnt be weird you could video it for her. I hear people do that

my oldest sister is 38 so my mom isn't the youngest either lol and I'm the second to have kid's lol @samanthahaile

when I gave birth to my first son I said the same thing. I didn't want a lot of ppl in the room but once them contractions got to coming strong I ended up not caring and having 7 of my family members there lol

I have 5 sisters too! I'm the first one to have a baby in the family and my parents are quite old and are excited about the first baby. @love.mommy

I'd have my mom & baby's father only. I wouldn't feel comfortable either but its not about them its about you they can be at the hospital but just not in your room while you're pushing they can visit before the actual delivery

my dr says "if they're not there for conception, they don't need to be there for the birth"

Naaah I wouldn't want all of them there it would make me nervous.
