19 months strong, and I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I feel like our nursing journey is about to end. Anyone have experience breast feeding a toddler while pregnant? How did things change?

My son self weaned at 15 months (I was 3 months pregnant). I think my milk changed/I started crying up :(

Good job mama! Best choice is to let nature take its course, like most things....if there's no issues, why mess with it? Wow I applaud you for going so long, so strong! I hope my girl and I make it that long! She's 4 months now, never had any formula and refuses bottles so it's all booby for us!

@hellosweetie, thank you so much!!! I did hear that he may self wean due to the change in my milk. But I'm excited because I haven't been successful in weaning the last month lol I just gave up and told him to stop when he's ready.

CONGRATS by the way!!! So exciting to have a little sibling for your baby! Just remember to take care of yourself...you should get some nice rest time while you feed your older baby which is nice, just remember to eat and drink plenty to keep your energy up! It'll take a lot outta ya!

Well I don't have personal experience, but I hear it should be fine....your nipples will prob get sore through the first trimester because of hormones, and then sometime in the second trimester your milk supply will drop because you will be preparing and producing colostrum again...your older baby might self wean because of the drop in milk and also the taste, they might not like it anymore. Which is good and bad, depending on how you look at it! Your 19 month old it'll prob be a good thing, that way he or she is ready for baby to arrive, and not so dependent on mom all the time...although from what I hear tandem feeding really is magical between siblings, so who knows! I would just continue as long as you can handle, and see what happens....and whatever happens, just go with it 😊
