I was 19 with my first child. People do make judgement and assume that your life and career is over if you start having kids. You just have to plan the future around your baby which is what I did. I'm not 26 and a qualified nurse pregnant with my second. Just prove them wrong and set a good example to your child x

I know what you mean by feeling judged! I walk around the streets just minding my own business and I'll have older mummies and even shop assistants giving me horrible glares! It really is awful! But as long as you know you can provide the essentials and love your baby they have no reason to look their nose down! We're in the 21st century. They need o get a hold of themselves! 19 years old and 23+6! And congratulations!! C

@ashleighholly no way!! Why have they diagnosed you with that? I was actually admitted to hospital at 7 weeks with severe sickness I couldn't keep a thing down 😭 it all got better at about 16 weeks! Sounds like you've been through loads bless you!! These babies are here to test us haha it will all be worth it in the end :-) I'm doing well now 27 weeks and starting to feel uncomfortable and back pain is a killer! Xxx

@soph93, I've had a lot of sickness and migraines and had to go to hospital for chest pain recently. I am currently in the process of being diagnosed with prenatal depression and I'm only 16 weeks! 😂 it feels like I'm being punished sometimes haha! how are you? Xx

Yes she certainly is lol I'm actually alright. I haven't been in hospital overnight since week 20. I had reduced movements and pelvic pains last weekend so was on labour ward all afternoon making sure my stubborn baby was fine. She was, just being naughty. Pelvic pains are from her dropping down in my pelvis. She's head down, has been for 3 months lol @soph93

@nashkay, definitely a miracle baby! :D my partner and I had been trying for 5 months and had given up hope and then took a test and turns out I was nearly 7 weeks pregnant!

@nashkay His loss!! If he's capable of walking away like that then he doesn't deserve to be apart of something so precious! People can be cruel and talk absolute rubbish but take no notice!! She's a miracle baby 💕 how are you getting on?

I'm 24. No one has said a thing about my age however they've taken great pleasure in judging the fact that when I fell pregnant I wasn't in a serious relationship and the father decided to do one. As if that's something I had control over. What pisses me off is the fact that, I wasn't going around sleeping with every Tom, Dick and Harry. I was only seeing him. And I never once thought this situation would occur because when I was 21 I had fertility testing done and was told I couldn't conceive. So this baby girl was a huge shock for me but I knew that it had happened for a reason so I embraced it. The people that have criticised and judged have been told where to get off because it's none of their business. I'm not a child. I'm 24 and I work so I'm providing for my child. I'm not just someone who's decided to get pregnant so I can sit on my Arse all day doing fuck all lol this could be only chance at being a mother so why would I pass that up??

Hello! i'm 19 years old, i have a 5 month old and 7/8 weeks pregnant with my second! i've never personally had a problem because i'm ignore everything negative! Everyone that's ever known me can see i'm fully capable (i used to baby sit twins from birth to two years old!) Everyone has always said, it doesn't matter what age you are, you are never fully mentally ready to have a baby no matter how much you want one. :) X

Us young mums need to stick together ;) we're just as capable as the older mums!

hey, I'm 24 =) I am pregnant with my 3rd child. I had my first when I was 16 so I guess people can see I'm more than capable of looking after my children. It was different when I had my first though. the amount of dirty looks and 'babies having babies' comments was unreal and hurtful. X

I'm 18 almost 19 and 37 weeks pregnant with my little boy and my partner is 22 and hate it soo much when people say that you shouldn't have kids when you're young well my little boy was planned and I'm proud to say that. We have provided everything for our little boy and will be the best parents we can possibly be. You can be a crap mum at 30 or a brilliant mum at 30 same as under 25 year old women it depends on you as a person to what sort of mum you are nothing to do with age. My mum became a mum at 16 and not one of us kids now 7 of us have ever missed out we have everything we want and have always gone on lovely holidays and my mum is the best I could ask for. Ignore any negativity my lovely and do your best that's all, all of us mums can do no matter how old we all are xx

Yeah, I'm 26 weeks and I turned 21 in October, however everytime I mention I live at home or my age I just feel like people judge me even the midwives! When I went for my booking in she asked me all the questions and I felt she was looking down her nose at me xx

I get a lot of people telling me what I "need" to buy for my baby and what I should spend the £500 grant I'm getting on! if I wanna spend nearly all of it on a decent pram then I will!

I'm 22 and 27 weeks pregnant and still feel like I'm being judged! People still continuously ask, how old are you again? Got no patience anymore lol I pity the next person that says something to me! 🙈

I'm 19 and me and my partner planned our pregnancy and I don't care what others think about me having a child so young, I know I can bring a child into this world without having any worries as I can support my baby girl financially and give her my all emotionally, I will be a good mom not doubt about that and so will you x

@ashleighholly, aw that's lovely! Although ours wasn't, when we found out we were delighted. So were family and friends, but some still feel the need to get there tuppence worth in.

I'm 23, 19 weeks pregnant. I don't so much feel I need to prove I'm capable but when people ask if the baby was planned and my answer is no she was a surprise. I then get the 'I thought that with you being so young' chat from people. We both have good jobs and will provide and care for her like other parents but it does knock the wind out my sails sometimes hearing that x

Lol that still doesn't matter there are many people out there in their 30's who don't work I think people seem to think that being older means you have everything together and a job with a house and lots of money but it's really just not true my mom was working and was still struggling lol. @ashleighholly

I was 19 when I was pregnant with my first child and tbh I didn't care about other people. Yea they look and feel that they need to tell you what to do with your child but I always stand up for myself because my age does not define whether I'll be a great mother or not. I'm now 23. Don't try and prove yourself to anyone but your child as no one else really matter lol they ain't going to take over your job as being a mother and help you to why pay attention 🙂 X
